The 10-day event will also offer attendees the chance to test-drive some of the latest models from their favorite automakers, discover innovative new electric vehicle (EV) technology and delve into the world of adventure vehicles. In addition, guests can check out rare futuristic cars in a special showcase from Supercar Rooms and see a special Bentley from famed local artist Romero Britto.
The Miami International Auto Show began in 1971 and is sponsored by the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association. Over the show’s 50-plus years, it has raised more than $500,000 for longtime partner Ronald McDonald House.
Miami International Auto Show Presenters
The Miami International Auto Show will host many of the world’s major auto manufacturers, showcasing their latest models (with many for sale). This year’s confirmed exhibitors include Chevrolet, Chrysler, Ford, Genesis, Infiniti, Jeep, Nissan, Lexus, Kia, GMC, Dodge, Hyundai, Honda, Buick, Cadillac, Lincoln, Toyota, RAM, Subaru and Volkswagen with more announcements to come.
Things to Do at the Miami International Auto Show
The Miami International Auto Show isn’t just a showcase of cool, new cars. It also gives guests the opportunity to take some of those cars out on test tracks or on traditional test-drives around the convention center. This year’s show will also feature an art car, pet adoptions and much more. Here’s a look at some of the cool stuff you can check out.
EV Tracks
After a momentously popular debut last year, the Miami International Auto Show’s indoor EV Test Track is back for 2023. Guests can hit the track and see how they fare in new EVs from Ford, Nissan, Cadillac, Volkswagen and even in the sleek, new Hummer. This year, Hyundai will also have its own EV track, meaning guests will have two EV tracks to explore.
Adventure Center
New for 2023 is the Adventure Center, where makers of ATVs, UTVs, off-road trucks, Jeeps and other sport-specific vehicles will be on hand to explain their products. There’ll be a special display of camper vans (if you’re looking to delve into van life) and even some water vehicles, like jet skis.
Supercar Rooms Gallery
Wynwood’s classic car experience, Supercar Rooms, will have its own gallery at the Miami International Auto Show. Though its home space is usually only available by appointment or during events, Supercar Rooms’ Auto Show installation will be open to anyone with a ticket. This special area will feature futuristic, high-tech cars not typically displayed at the show.
Ride and Drives
The ever-popular Ride and Drives will be back outside the convention center this year, and attendees can sign up to test-drive the latest models from several manufacturers. So far, Chevrolet and Toyota are planning Ride and Drives, but more automakers are likely to be announced.
Britto Bentley
Famed artist Romero Britto, whose work is everywhere in Miami, from the airport to Dadeland Station, will be displaying his personal, one-of-a-kind Bentley, designed by the artist and wrapped by MetroWrapz. There will also be a special meet-and-greet with Britto at a date and time to be announced.
Subaru Loves Pets
In addition to showing attendees its latest models, Subaru will have pets on hand for adoption as part of its Subaru Loves Pets program. So even if you don’t leave the Miami International Auto Show with a new car, you might leave with a new four-legged friend.
