American Psychosocial Oncology Society

APOS 9th Annual Conference

The American Psychosocial Oncology Society (APOS) invites you to participate in the APOS 9th Annual Conference, 23 – 25 February 2012, in Miami, FL.  The conference theme, “Reducing Health Disparities in Quality Cancer Care: Psychosocial Research, Practice and Outreach,” underscores the value of bringing together the many disciplines that support cancer patients and their caregivers.  The 2012 conference promises to draw 350+ psychiatrists, oncologists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, clergy and patient advocates from around the United States.  This is a unique opportunity to meet with psychosocial oncology clinicians, researchers, administrators and advocates in one venue.

We hope to see you in beautiful Miami!

About Miami

The tropics meet big-city entertainment in this metropolis by the sea, where white sand beaches complement glittering high rises, and a fascinating intersection of cultures creates an international dining and entertainment scene like nowhere else in the U.S.

Greater Miami and the Beaches provides the sun-splashed setting for all kinds of adventures—from teeing off on the golf course to taking off across the waves on a boat tour, or taking in the beauty and mystery of Everglades National Park, the only subtropical preserve in North America.

We hope you packed your appetite because you're going to need it in this multicultural mecca, where the flavors of the world meet our own “Floribbean” cuisine, and local chefs have risen to star status thanks to their cutting-edge creations.

A thriving arts scene, dusk-to-dawn nightlife, great shopping and exciting annual events are also a part of the mix in the Magic City, whose many charms never fail to enchant, enthrall and entice visitors back for more.
