Some are hometown superstars, and some even have accolades from MICHELIN and the James Beard Awards. Here’s a star-studded look at the who’s who of Miami chefs and where you can enjoy their cuisine.

Gordon Ramsay Brings Hell’s Kitchen to Miami
British chef Gordon Ramsay needs no introduction. He's as famous for his fiery temper in the kitchen as he is for his global culinary empire. The celebrity chef has bragging rights to restaurants with eight MICHELIN stars, and he’s hosted and appeared in numerous TV shows, including “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Kitchen Nightmares” and the new “Secret Service,” with many more in production. Ramsay has extended his culinary empire to Miami with a Hell’s Kitchen outpost in Downtown Miami. Ardent fans will find signature dishes like Beef Wellington, pan-seared scallops, lobster risotto in a saffron broth and the decadent sticky toffee pudding.

Jeremy Ford has the culinary Midas touch: Almost everything he touches turns into restaurant gold. The Florida native with a fun, easygoing personality rocketed to fame after winning Bravo’s “Top Chef” Season 13 and regularly appears on national morning TV shows to showcase his culinary talents.
Ford’s Stubborn Seed in South Beach should top your list of places to dine. The chef has racked up numerous accolades, maintaining the restaurant’s MICHELIN star and earning a MICHELIN Green Star for sustainable gastronomy in 2025. The talented team in Stubborn Seed’s open kitchen whips up inventive plates of food art for the tasting menu and does wonders with vegetables. Ford sources ingredients from his own organic farm, Ford’s Farm in Homestead.

Homegrown Michelle Bernstein Cooks Up The Flavor of Miami
Miami’s food tastes better thanks to Chef Michelle Bernstein (also nicknamed “Michy”), an icon for decades in the Miami food scene. The bubbly Miami native and James Beard Award-winning chef has been a guest judge on nationally televised culinary competition programs, including Bravo’s “Top Chef” and Food Network’s “Chopped.” In Miami, she hosts two Emmy Award-winning TV shows, “Check, Please! South Florida” and the weekend show “SoFlo Taste,” where she offers culinary insights and recipes. She also does cooking segments on “Good Morning America.”
Bernstein’s culinary influence is found throughout the destination, including at MICHELIN-recommended Cafe La Trova in Little Havana, where diners can experience her modern spin on Cuban favorites while enjoying live entertainment. Avid foodies will recognize Chef Donatella Arpaia as a mainstay judge on “Iron Chef America” and from her regular appearances as a culinary contributor on NBC’s “Today Show.” The attorney-turned-restaurateur has a flair for mouthwatering Italian food and has owned a string of restaurants with MICHELIN acclaim. She founded NOMA Beach at Redfish, a waterfront restaurant in Coral Gables where diners can savor stunning views and a seafood-focused menu influenced by Arpaia’s Italian roots and her time living in Miami. Arpaia is best known for her homemade meatballs, but the menu is heavy on homemade pastas and seafood dishes, and there are raw bar selections too. Try Adrianne Calvo’s Cooking For Yourself
Adrianne Calvo, a Cuban American chef with fiery red hair, has done it all, from authoring cookbooks to starring in her Emmy-nominated YouTube and podcast series “Searching for Maximum Flavor,” in which she explores food scenes around the U.S. Calvo has a dynamic on-camera presence and has competed on top culinary shows such as Season 9 of “Chopped” as well as Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay.” She’s also made culinary cameos on “The Today Show,” “Good Morning America," “Fox & Friends” and CNN.
Calvo helms two popular restaurants in Miami, including her namesake Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Bar in Kendall, where she pairs inventive American cuisine with California wines, including her own signature Napa Valley cabernet sauvignon, and is known for her monthly “Dark Dining” dinners. Rocco Carulli Brings Fun To Dining in Wynwood
As executive chef and owner of R House restaurant in Wynwood, Rocco Carulli has made a big name for himself in Miami’s culinary world for his Latin-inspired dishes and the restaurant’s popular weekend drag brunch performances. Gloria Estefan, Miami music royalty, has even popped in and joined the conga line. The nation first took notice of the celebrity chef after he starred on Season 33 of Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay” in 2023. Even though Bobby beat him, Carulli impressed the judges with smoked mozzarella-stuffed jalapenos atop a roasted red pepper and an aji rocoto sauce.

Live-Fire Cooking by “Carnivore King” Francis Mallmann
Famous for his style of open-fire cooking and Argentine cuisine, Francis Mallmann is an international superstar in the culinary scene. You may have seen Mallman, often dubbed the “Carnivore King,” on TV cooking shows and in the Netflix series “Chef’s Table” or read one of his best-selling books. The lauded chef owns nine restaurants around the world, including MICHELIN-recommended Los Fuegos by Francis Mallmann at the Faena Miami Beach hotel, which mixes theatrics with live-fire cooking. Dig into grilled meats, fish, veggies and even empanadas prepared using Mallmann’s traditional Patagonian techniques.

Thomas Keller Brings MICHELIN Star Power To Miami
It’s a big deal when a MICHELIN three-star chef, restaurateur and author like Thomas Keller comes to town. The esteemed American chef, whose French Laundry is considered one of the world’s best restaurants, now has two restaurants in Miami. The Surf Club Restaurant, located at the Four Seasons Hotel at the Surf Club in Surfside, is his first Florida venture and boasts one MICHELIN star. The continental-style restaurant with European flair is known for signature dishes like Maine lobster thermidor, pastas, avocado Louie and a classic Caesar salad prepared tableside. Taste the Soul of Marcus Samuelsson
Award-winning chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson has been a regular judge on the Food Network show “Chopped” and other TV shows, including “Iron Chef.” He’s also authored several books, including the bestselling memoir “Yes, Chef.” His Red Rooster Overtown in Historic Overtown focuses on soul food, and appearances by Samuelsson are not unusual. With numerous MICHELIN-starred restaurants, French celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten needs no introduction. He’s cooked on just about every national morning show in the U.S. and has written several cookbooks. While Vongerichten has a global restaurant empire that stretches from New York to Shanghai, his name and influence are also behind the restaurants at The Miami Beach EDITION in Mid Beach.
