Merrill Lynch arteaméricas
The Latin American Art Fair

2009 Dates Coming Soon!

Merrill Lynch Arteaméricas has established itself as the top Latin American art fair in the world. Held in Miami Beach every March, the Miami art fair showcases the work of 300 Latin American artists and 70 art galleries from more than a dozen nations. Art featured during Miami’s arteaméricas represents a variety of media, such as painting, sculpture, photography and video. The prices? Anywhere from a couple of thousand dollars to well over half a million bucks.

Among the countries represented during the Latin American art fair in Miami are Spain, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, Canada, the U.S. and a number of South American nations, among them Ecuador, Argentina and Brazil. Art museums participating in arteaméricas include New York City’s Museo del Barrio, Long Beach, California’s Museum of Latin American Art and several Miami area museums, such as Miami Beach’s Bass Museum of Art.

Special events during arteaméricas include a Young Professional Night, geared to help young art collectors learn more about the art of Latin America. In addition, a series of art conferences hosted by Miami-Dade College present talks by art collectors and other art experts.

The annual Miami art fair was founded by public relations executive Leslie Pantin, Jr. in 2003. Title sponsor for arteaméricas is Merrill Lynch.
