Every year the Magic City offers a wide variety of New Year’s Eve parties like the City of Miami Beach’s annual New Year's Eve celebration featuring fireworks at midnight. Show up early to the beach at 9th Street and Ocean Drive and stake out a spot on the sand. Or head to Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami for another firework spectacular. Enjoy a dance party, live music and a countdown to midnight with as the “The Big Orange” ascends to the top of the InterContinental Miami hotel.
Mark the beginning of 2018 at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Miami. Located in the heart of Brickell, the hotel’s restaurants have several parties to choose from. Join the hip and trendy crowd at Bahía on Sunday December 31, starting at 10 p.m. for a party in the city with cocktails, a DJ and stunning views of Downtown Miami from the seventh-floor poolside lounge. A Champagne cash bar will keep the bubbles fresh and flowing (no cover charge for entry). Or for a foodie-style soiree, head to the hotel’s signature restaurant, EDGE Steak & Bar, and dine on delectable delights by Chef Aaron Brooks who will be sure to wow your palette. There are two seating options: 6 p.m. (three courses for $100 per person) and 9:30 p.m. (five courses for $250 per person). Both include a complimentary Champagne toast.
Break out the gown and tux for a lavish gala-style event at The Ritz-Carlton’s Grand Ballroom in Key Biscayne. Themed as “Midnight in Paris,” the gala will include elaborate food and dessert offerings, colorful cocktails, a live band with a dance floor, New Year’s Eve style party favors and more. The party begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $295 per adult and $125 per child. Or book a lovely New Year’s Eve dinner reservation at Lightkeepers and soak up those warm ocean breezes as you nosh on a four-course meal featuring a delectable array of local seafood cuisine and more. The dinner is $195 per adult and $59 per child. The resort will also be hosting a Feliz Ano Nuevo Fiesta in RUMBAR. The event will feature an Old Havana-style live band, rum cocktails, tapas and a festive balloon drop at midnight. Tickets are $125 per adult.
Step right up for the ultimate party right on the sand. Join Nikki Beach under the big top as they usher in 2018 with a circus-themed extravaganza. Ringmasters will create the "Greatest Show on Earth," featuring dazzling performers and musicians and, as a grand finale, a pyrotechnic display at midnight. VIP tables for the event are available for groups of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Pricing includes admission for the night, bottles service and mixers. VIP tables start at $550 for two. Enjoy a decadent three-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Frank Ferreiro in a romantic candlelit garden and surrounding beach area. Dinner starts at $650 per couple. General admission is $75 per person.
A yacht party promises lots of glitz and glam for the new year. Start the party early with Rock the Yacht: Pre-New Year’s Eve All Black Yacht Party. Guests will board the 125-foot South Beach Lady at the Hyatt Regency hotel dock in Downtown Miami for a late-night extravaganza starting at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 and going until 3 a.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Cash bars are available on every deck or book the VIP area for bottle service. Tickets start at $75 per person.
For a rooftop party with panoramic views of the Miami skyline and fireworks at midnight, head to The Gale South Beach. Dance and groove to sounds by a live DJ mixing the hottest sounds of 2017, feast on a tasty buffet and toast the end of the year with a five-hour premium open bar. Tickets start at $159 per person.
Partying responsibly is always a must. There are various ways to get around Miami and Beaches, including free trolleys.
