America’s Birthday Bash
Celebrate the Fourth of July at America’s Birthday Bash, the largest Independence Day celebration in South Florida. Enjoy live music, food and drink, children’s activities and more at America’s Birthday Bash. Highlight of the annual Fourth of July party at Miami’s Bayfront Park? A fireworks display made all the more spectacular by its scenic setting over Biscayne Bay.
With its assortment of monuments, Bayfront Park seems an appropriate venue for America’s Birthday Bash. The 32-acre park is home to a Veterans’ Memorial, a statue of Christopher Columbus and a Centennial Time Capsule. In addition, Bayfront Park boasts three works by noted American sculptor Isamu Noguchi, who redesigned the popular downtown Miami park in the 1980s. One of Noguchi’s sculptures at Bayfront Park, the Challenger Memorial, honors the astronauts lost on the NASA space shuttle. The other two Noguchi works at Bayfront Park are the Light Tower and the Slide Mantra, a 29-ton marble slide.
The site of Miami’s favorite July 4th celebration, America’s Birthday Bash, invites visitors to enjoy its other treasures, including a sandy beach, rock garden, waterfall and fountain.
Not only does Bayfront Park host America’s Birthday Bash, it’s also a popular site for outdoor concerts and special events throughout the year. Bayfront Park features an amphitheater that faces Miami’s skyline and an open-air pavilion that can accommodate 1,000 guests.
