International Mango Festival at Fairchild Gardens

July 12-13, 2008

Celebrate all things mango at the Miami area’s International Mango Festival. An annual event, the International Mango Festival at Fairchild Gardens invites you to cultivate an appreciation for the mango in all its varieties.

Among the highlights of the two-day International Mango Festival at Fairchild Gardens is a Mangos of the World Display, which features an international assortment of mangoes, all grown in South Florida. Other attractions at the International Mango Festival in Coral Gables include a kick-off party, a mango auction, mango workshops, public taste testings and a mango brunch that always sells out. The yearly mango tree sale at the International Mango Festival at Fairchild Gardens is so popular that crowds start showing up several hours before the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden even opens for the day. The International Mango Festival also features live music and such children’s activities as face painting and mango art.

The home of the International Mango Festival, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is an 83-acre garden specializing in tropical plants, among them palms, cyads, vines and, of course, mangoes. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden was founded in 1938.
