Junior Orange Bowl

The Junior Orange Bowl is an international youth festival held in South Florida every October through December. Youth from around the world compete in more than 20 events at the Jr. Orange Bowl, including tennis, basketball, golf, chess and creative writing. Signature event of the Junior Orange Bowl is its parade through Coral Gables.
Featured sporting events include the Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship, one of the worlds top junior tennis tournaments. Tennis players compete in two age categories: 12 & under and 14 & under. Among past Jr. Orange Bowl competitors are such tennis greats as Jim Courier, Andre Agassi, Anna Kournikova and Justine Henin-Hardenne. Like the Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship, the Jr. Orange Bowl International Golf Championship is a prestigious sports event known for the caliber of its competitors. The junior golf tournament pits 120 of the worlds top young golfers against each other. Past winners of the Junior Orange Bowl Golf Championship include golfing star Tiger Woods. Another Junior Orange Bowl athletic event, the Junior Orange Bowl Basketball Classic, features boys and girls high school basketball teams from several states.
