Lincoln Road

Lincoln Road has long been a legendary name in South Florida shopping. During its heyday around the middle of the 20th century, Lincoln Road was Miami Beachs answer to Fifth Avenue in New York and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Although no longer known as the Fifth Avenue of the South, Lincoln Road in Miami Beach retail and entertainment district is celebrated for its shopping, dining, cultural activities and people-watching in one of the most famous sections of Greater Miami South Beach. Focal point of the Lincoln Road shopping district is a seven-block pedestrian mall known as Lincoln Road Mall.

About 400 businesses are located in the Lincoln Road shopping district. Familiar names in retailing include Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Chicos, Foot Locker, Lucky Brand Jeans, Oakley, Payless Shoes, Steve Madden, Victorias Secret and White House/Black Market. Lincoln Road in Miami Beach is also home to a number of art galleries, spas and salons, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and cinemas. Another of its venues, the Lincoln Theatre, is home to the New World Symphony. Accommodations in the Lincoln Road area include the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach and Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Lincoln Road Mall hosts a weekly farmers market every Sunday and an outdoor antiques and collectibles market during selected weekends from October through May. Although vehicles are banned from Lincoln Road Mall, parking is available at a nearby parking garage and a number of parking lots.

Lincoln Road Location
Lincoln Road is located in the South Beach end of Miami Beach. The shopping district is bounded by 16th and 17th Streets, Collins Avenue and Bay Road. The section known as the Lincoln Road Mall runs between Lenox and Washington Avenues. The Miami Beach Convention Center and the Jackie Gleason Theater of Performing Arts are located one block to the north.
