Miami Design District

Going shopping in Miami means more than searching for the latest designer fashions or one-of-a-kind outlet finds. A Miami shopping trip can also include a visit to one of South Floridas most vibrant shopping venues the Miami Design District, the perfect place to pick up design ideas for your home.

Concentrated in an 18-block area prized for being pedestrian-friendly, the Miami Design District houses art galleries, interior design showrooms and home furnishings stores, representing some of the most inspiring ideas in design today. Among the names youll find in the Miami Art & Design District are Holly Hunt, Waterworks, Knoll Studio, Steve Martin Studio and Adriana Hoyos. The selection of home furnishings and accessories available in the Miami Art and Design District is far-reaching. Shoppers will find antiques as well as contemporary furnishings, imports, carpets and rugs, drapes, kitchen and bath accessories, lighting, mosaics, hardwood flooring and much more.

Almost as pleasing is the selection of eateries and lounges at the Miami Design District. The fare ranges from organic to French to Ethiopian to eastern Mediterranean and beyond. A wine shop offers Miami Design District visitors a choice of more than 200 wines from around the world.

On the second Saturday evening of every month, the Miami Design District invites the public to visit its art galleries and to enjoy refreshments and music during Art + Design Night. In December, the Miami Art & Design District hosts Design Miami, a yearly forum focusing on international design.
