Miami Design District

Concentrated in an 18-block area prized for being pedestrian-friendly, the Miami Design District houses art galleries, interior design showrooms and home furnishings stores, representing some of the most inspiring ideas in design today.

Among the names youll find in the Miami Art & Design District are Holly Hunt, Waterworks, Knoll Studio, Steve Martin Studio and Adriana Hoyos. The selection of home furnishings and accessories available in the Miami Art and Design District is far-reaching. Shoppers will find antiques as well as contemporary furnishings, imports, carpets and rugs, drapes, kitchen and bath accessories, lighting, mosaics, hardwood flooring and much more.

There are several excellent restaurants in the Design District as well as casual outdoor cafes where you can grab a light bite.

On the second Saturday evening of every month, the Miami Design District invites the public to visit its art galleries and to enjoy refreshments and music during Art + Design Night. In December, the Miami Art & Design District hosts Design Miami, a yearly forum focusing on international design.

The Miami Design District is located north of downtown Miami, approximately 10 minutes from South Beach. The Miami Design District is bounded by NE 41st and 36th streets and by North Miami Avenue and Biscayne Boulevard.
