Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival

The Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival is South Florida’s showcase for films and videos highlighting the LGBT experience.

Since 1999, the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival has presented an annual 10-day event featuring film screenings, panel discussions, opening and closing night galas, and other social events.

With a focus on Hispanic filmmakers, the highly respected Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival attracts an array of international performers, movie critics and other film industry professionals representing a variety of film genres. Films entered in the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival may compete for such awards as Best Juried Documentary, Best Juried Fiction Feature and Audience Favorite Feature.

The Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival also hosts a monthly film screening series. Past Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival screenings have included such Academy Award nominees as Brokeback Mountain, Transamerica and Little Miss Sunshine. The 2008 Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival will be from 4/25/08 to 5/4/08.
