Miami International Film Festival

March 2 - 11, 2012

The annual Miami International Film Festival brings the best of world cinema to southern Florida. Movie screenings at the Miami International Film Festival may include prize-winning films, Academy Award nominees and winners, and even world premieres. Over the past few years, the Miami International Film Festival has hosted films representing more than 50 countries. In addition to film screenings, the Miami International Film Festival offers a series of panels, discussions and seminars on the creative, technical and business side of film.

Films entered in the Miami International Film Festival may compete for several awards. The $250,000 Knight Grand Jury Prize and Audience Awards recognize films in three different categories: Dramatic Features (World Cinema Competition), Dramatic Features (Ibero-American Cinema Competition) and Documentary Features (World & Ibero-American Cinema Competition). The International Federation of Film Critics awards the FIPRESCI Prize to a film in the Miami International Film Festival's World Cinema Competition category.

Come join the thousands of film-lovers, filmmakers and other film industry representatives that attend the International Film Festival each year.
