Aventura Mall is the largest mall in Florida, one of the top five highest grossing malls per square foot in the country, the top shopping destination among visitors and locals, and, all in all, a shopper’s dream. Aventura Mall features 300 unique retail destinations from recognizable department store names with just about every label you can think of. Leave extra room in your suitcase for the shopping you’ll be doing at Aventura Mall.
Like any major mall, there are a few department stores that anchor the mall. We’re talking about the mainstays with everything inside from baby bedding and copper pots to mascara and men’s shoes. Bloomingdale’s, J.C. Penney, Nordstrom and Sears are four of the main anchors. But the biggest of them all is the Macy’s with more than a handful of floors shared between Women’s, Children’s, Men’s and Home & Furniture Departments. Stop by Macy’s for fashion and affordable luxury at every price point – between the six floors we’re pretty sure you’ll find what you had in mind.
Stores, Stores and More Stores
Are you looking for an ultra-specific special something, a particular kind of memento or that perfect beach cover-up? Maybe you don’t have something specific in mind, but a day at the mall strolling from store to store, window-shopping and, hopefully, some real shopping too, sounds ideal. Aventura Mall has what you’re looking for - whether you know it or not.
Books, children’s apparel, women’s fashions, men’s clothing, eyewear, accessories and shoes to handbags- that’s just some of what’s waiting at Aventura Mall.
Start with familiar stores, mall staples, like Aldo, Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle Outfitters, Ann Taylor, Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Victoria’s Secret and Urban Outfitters for those wardrobe staples you might have forgotten at home or the pieces that will become your new wardrobe staples. Sure, those are stores you can find at malls across America. But at Aventura, size is on your side. You’ll find all your favorites under one roof.
If your iPhone is acting glitchy or your MacBook is on the fritz while on vacation, or worse, a work trip, you’ll probably have to schedule a chat with an Apple Genius at the Apple store to get your gadgets up and running again.
Looking for labels with a recognizable name or a high-end fashion brand you just can’t find back home? Find big names off the runway at the big department stores or in their own outposts. Check out big European names like Burberry for that classic trench, Pucci for their signature prints, Louis Vuitton for a classic handbag, a token bear from Tous or stock up on some signature Missoni zig-zig.
Take a bit of American design back home with a sturdy leather loafer from Cole Haan, an evening or casual design by Michael Kors or a luxury handbag from Coach. Then there’s everything in between like avant-garde designs at Y-3 by Yohji Yamamoto, the classic Lacoste crocodile and the simple modernist designs that are the mode at Calvin Klein today.
For The Kids
Give the kids a well deserved break after dragging them around the mall or take back something special from Miami for them. Pop into the Disney store for your Princess gear and stuffed Mickey’s. Continue the kid’s mall tour with a stop at Gymboree for the tiny tot in your life and then the Lego store for the toddler or older child.
Need to take a break from the shopping or just a rest off your feet? There’s a movie theater onsite where you can grab popcorn and a flick before continuing onward. On the other hand, if you have some extra energy to burn, and an Equinox membership, there’s a gym in the mall for a workout or a Pilates class.
The dining options at Aventura Mall go far beyond the typical food court mall fare – although there’s that too. The food court at Aventura has more than a dozen options in a variety of cuisine from Japanese, to comfort food like ribs, healthy Mediterranean or a quick burger. If you are on a tight schedule or trying to jam in all the shopping you can, the food court is probably your best bet. Everything will be quick and tasty but you can get back to the main event – shopping.
Traversing the largest mall in Florida can leave you hungry, if not starving. Take some time and get a good meal in your belly, some mall fuel, at one of the sit-down restaurants at the mall, from Cheesecake Factory to the Nordstrom Café Bistro.
