Aventura is home to great shopping and entertainment venues.
Aventura is practically synonymous with Aventura Mall, the largest mall in Florida and amongst the top five highest grossing in America. With over 300 retailers spanning 2.7 million square feet, it’s both luxurious and approachable making it a shopper’s dream. And just north of Aventura Mall in Hallandale Beach, you’ll find Gulfstream Park. Anchored by a horse racing track, this entertainment hub is also home to prime shopping, dining and gaming, making it an excellent destination to entertain just about anyone. Read on for your complete guide to navigating these two shopping venues.
Anchored by Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, JC Penney and Macy’s with a separate Macy’s Men & Home Furniture store, you can shop for luxury or get plenty of bang for your buck on an outing to Aventura Mall. Expect to find all of your mall staples with stores specializing in children’s and toys, electronics, home furnishings, jewelry and watches, men’s wear, sporting goods, shoes and, of course, women’s wear. On the luxury end, you’ll find flagships for Gucci, Christian Louboutin, Cartier, Louis Vuitton and M Missoni, amongst others. For ready-to-wear fashion, you’ll find All Saints, Hugo Boss, Abercrombie & Fitch, Cole Haan and more.
Of course, there’s more to Aventura Mall than just shopping. It’s home to an AMC movie theater, Equinox Fitness Club and Coco’s Hair Salon & Day Spa. You can also round out your day by dining at one of the onsite restaurants, like Bella Luna, Rosalia’s or Grand Lux Café for Italian. Both Bloomingdales and Nordstrom have their own in-store cafes, and the mall’s food court offers include everything from Five Guys Burgers & Fries to Sbarro. The most classic dining options include The Grill on the Alley and The Cheesecake Factory, where just about anything you can imagine is on the menu.
The mall is also home to various shopping events, fashion shows and seasonal celebrations, so check their calendar before your visit.
Gulfstream Park is one of the most unique entertainment venues in Miami. Prized for its thoroughbred horse racing track featuring year round championship racing, it’s an exciting place to visit whether it’s your first time to the track or you’re a seasoned veteran. The beauty of Gulfstream Park, though, is if horse racing isn’t your cup of tea, there’s also stellar shopping, dining and other entertainment, including a casino, bowling and live music.
Let’s talk about the shopping. You’ll find everything from fashion and children’s stores to home furnishing and art galleries at The Village at Gulfstream Park. Great boutiques include Blu Ice, Charming Charlie and Back 2 Back. If you’re shopping for the home here, you’re in luck with Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, The Container Store, West Elm, Williams-Sonoma and Z Gallerie. Art galleries include Sher Gallery, Sirona Fine Art and Barker Animation.
You have over 20 restaurants and bars on the complex, including nightlife venues. Adena Grill & Wine Bar is a special occasion steak house with a high energy vibe and the family-owned Christine Lee’s serves authentic Chinese and pan-Asian food. Ten Palms holds prime seating overlooking the racetrack for an upscale dining experience that includes a buffet and race day-inspired cocktails. You’ll also find popular spots like Yard House, Yogurtland and Brio Tuscan Grille. For nightlife, stick around late night for parties at Club Fate, Frankey’s Sports Bar and the Martini Bar.
From upscale luxury retailers to fashion boutiques and home goods, Aventura is home to premiere shopping destinations.
