Miami’s free people mover loops around the Downtown Miami and Brickell areas.

It’s like a trip to Disney World, but without the mouse. Miami Metromover is the 4.4-mile, electric powered people mover that loops around Downtown Miami and Brickell and also connects you to the Miami Metrorail and Miami bus lines. Wherever you need to go in the heart of Miami, these speedy little above-ground cars will get you there – and fast.

Some of the key places you can get to on the Metromover system include the AmericanAirlines Arena, Bayside Market Place and Brickell City Centre. The Metromover inner loop and the outer loop (Omni and Brickell) run from 5:00 a.m. to midnight seven days a week with trains arriving every 90 seconds to 3 minutes depending on the time of day. Check out the Metromover station map for all the stops and connections available.

First thing to know, everybody rides free on Metromover. There are no cards or tickets to buy, just wait for the car to come around and jump on. This makes staying in the Downtown or Brickell area a cinch to get around when you are out exploring Miami. The stops will find you steps away from some of the best dining and nightlife experiences Miami can offer.

It’s also available from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday, it runs until midnight. Occasionally during big events, the Metromover will continue running until 1:00 a.m. so you won’t be left behind.

Find out more about connections to areas north and south of the Metromover loops as well as other Miami public transportation options, and start planning your way around Miami today.
