Miami supports education! This candidate offers visitors an open canvas to explore languages, cultures, history, eco-systems, visual and performing arts and so much more. Miami’s evolution into an international destination directly impacts cultural life. As more and more important visual and performing artists are attracted to live and work in Miami, the quality of exhibits and performances rises. As Miami molds itself into a 21st century arts mecca, the most renowned architects of our era, including Cesar Pelli, Robert A.M. Stern, Arquitectonica, Zaha Hadid, Sou Fujimoto, Frank Gehry, Herzog & DeMeuron, Grimshaw Architects and Arata Isozaki, are changing the city's face. Miami’s arts and culture renaissance is also evidenced by Museum Park, an environmentally friendly public space offering visitors a spectacular vantage point overlooking Biscayne Bay. The park is home to the latest museum architectural wonders to hit the arts scene, such as the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)—sustainably designed by Herzog & De Meuron and featuring 200,000 square feet of contemporary art, as well as educational tours and Verde, a waterfront restaurant and bar with locally inspired seasonal menus. The park will also be the future home of The Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, which is being designed by Grimshaw Architects. The latter is set to open in 2016, representing a complete revamp of the old science museum originally located in Coconut Grove.

Miami is for the environment! What other candidate provides you with the option to visit an ecological wonderland like The Everglades or the untouched pristine beaches of Key Biscayne? And fact is that much of Miami’s allure comes from its natural wonders. Home to Everglades and Biscayne national parks and other eco-friendly attractions, Greater Miami and the Beaches is naturally green. Living and playing in paradise is a privilege and one we offer all visitors. While travelers can enjoy the sophistication and glamour of Miami’s urban entertainment, comfortable in the knowledge that the city is taking aggressive steps to be "clean and green," they can also rest easy that their playtime in nature is also respectful to the earth. Many people are surprised to discover that Miami boasts two national parks with many ways to appreciate astonishing natural worlds. Covering 1.5 million acres, Everglades National Park is the third largest in the U.S. National Parks system. Made up of sawgrass prairies, mangrove swamps, subtropical jungle and the warm waters of Florida Bay, the park and its seemingly endless grassy waters are home to a rare community of plants and endangered animals. Visitors to the park can enjoy self-guided and ranger-led tours and activities from the Main Visitor Center at the Park's southeastern entrance, or journey deeper into the Everglades for a more extensive experience in the Florida wilderness.
A rarity among national parks, Biscayne National Park offers 173,000 acres to explore, 95 percent of which are under Miami’s clear Caribbean blue waters. Teeming with colorful sea life and plants, the park encompasses Biscayne Bay, the longest stretch of mangrove forest left on Florida's east coast, living coral reefs and 40 of the northernmost Florida Keys.
