Historic Virginia Key Beach Park
Virginia Key Beach, once accessible only by boat, was established in 1945 as the only public beach for the “exclusive use of Negroes” in Dade County. In 2002, Historic Virginia Key Beach Park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today you can enjoy beautiful white sandy beaches, a picnic pavilion, nature trails, concessions, beach shelters and a restored carousel.
When: Open 7 a.m.-sunset, seven days a week (except Thanksgiving and Christmas). No entry fee is charged during weekdays. Cost is $5 per vehicle during weekends, holidays, special events.

The Golden Ticket Arts Guide is a calendar-style booklet with free offers to cultural arts events and venues for Miami-Dade County senior residents ages 62 and over. Each GT Arts Guide contains GT Arts Guide tickets that may be redeemed by senior residents 62 and older to attend the events offered in the GT Arts Guide.
