About the Contest
Miami’s a must-try culinary destination. At some of our hottest restaurants and dining spots, the crowd is stunning, the view and atmosphere sets the perfect ‘So Miami’ tone and the cuisine is the show stopper, whether it’s haute cuisine or funky food trucks. But there are also many unfamiliar, undiscovered microcosms of culture and community when dining in Miami. Here, it’s easy to learn something about the world that has a lot to do with what's on your plate.
Filmmakers were asked to show their favorite dishes and foodie spots that highlight Miami's diverse culinary scene in our heritage neighborhoods, including Little Haiti, Little Havana, Historic Overtown, Coconut Grove’s Village West, Downtown Miami, Wynwood and more. We wanted to know what makes Miami a dining destination for visitors to savor, and what their top cultural dining recommendations for locals wanting to discover new neighborhoods and new adventures.
