Check out this list of swanky rooftop bars in Miami.
There’s nothing better than an evening spent in the tropics, sipping on a cold cocktail and soaking up the spectacular Miami views. Whether you’re up for an afternoon beachfront pick-me-up, laid back happy hour soiree or late-night bottle service in the city, we have a rooftop bar with a killer view for you.
Downtown & Brickell
One of Miami’s hottest rooftop bar scenes, especially during happy hour on Fridays, Area 31 at Epic Hotel is a place to see and be seen in downtown. Sway to the sounds of a live DJ by the pool and soak up the stunning city views featuring the Brickell Avenue skyline to the south and Biscayne Bay to the east. On Fridays, “chase the clock” with $5 drinks and bar bites at 5 p.m., $6 at 6 p.m., $7 at 7 p.m. and so on until closing.
For a swanky late-night party spot featuring high-energy dance and hip-hop music, head to FIFTY Miami Ultra Lounge at W Miami. Perched atop the luxurious Brickell area hotel on the fiftieth floor, there’s always a lively dance party going on until the wee hours of the morning on Friday and Saturday nights. For the ultimate VIP experience, reserve a table and bottle service. Also at W Miami, and situated 15 floors above bustling Brickell Avenue, 15th & Vine Kitchen and Bar is open for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.
At the southern part of Brickell Avenue, head up to LVL 25 at Conrad Miami (on the 25th floor) for sparkling cocktails and views of Biscayne Bay that go for miles. Take advantage of the Veuve Cliquot champagne specials during happy hour: $50 for a bottle at 5 p.m., $60 at 6 p.m. and so on.
Nosh on delicious eats and sip handcrafted cocktails at Edge Steak & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Miami. The indoor bar has a great happy hour scene, but for a mellow al fresco experience, head out to the comfy fire pit lounge area on the seventh-floor terrace.
For the ultimate rooftop fine-dining experience, head to Juvia on South Beach’s Lincoln Road. Situated atop the funky Herzog & de Neuron designed parking garage, the restaurant features sweeping views of Miami Beach. Sit at the bar and peruse an impressive cocktail list, but if you’re going to opt for a table, make sure you call ahead for reservations.
A long list of hotels in Miami Beach have a rooftop amenity of some kind; it’s the best way to experience the beach breezes, mix and mingle with the Sobe crowd and test out some eclectic cocktails. Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami's pool and restaurant, DECK Sixteen, is located on the third floor rooftop deck. Guests can enjoy food and drink service from DECK Sixteen, including bottle service. Stop by for their daily happy hour from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring $6 cocktails and bites. The Clevelander, Dream South Beach, 1 Hotel South Beach and Townhouse are just a few of the chic hotels with rooftops worth a visit.
For a posh poolside experience, check out La Cote, the bi-level bar and restaurant at the iconic Fountainebleau hotel, where light Southern French fare and a DJ bar scene elevate poolside dining to a new level. Friday through Sunday there’s a DJ spinning tunes from 12 to 7 p.m. to suit the fashionable crowds.
For an ultra-exclusive experience (you either have to be a club member or a hotel guest), Soho Beach House offers a rooftop bar and private cabanas. And even if you don’t have access to the full amenities as a club member or hotel guest, you can still walk through the lobby to the bar and restaurant at Cecconi’s.
Located in the heart of tropical Coconut Grove, the Mayfair Hotel & Spa, features a laid-back rooftop bar scene with panoramic views of the pedestrian-friendly village and the calm waters of Biscayne Bay. Kick back by the fire pit and watch the sun sink into the horizon while you sip a fine glass of wine, then head down to Spartico’s for great Italian fare.
Whether you’re looking for a post-beach cocktail, a 360 degree city view, five-star menu, or a super chill experience, Miami rooftop bars run the gamut.
