Terrazas de los Andes
Altitude with Attitude
Terrazas de los Andes has taken advantage of it's close to five decades of experience with high-elevation vineyards to match each varietal with its ideal altitude. The two representative grape varieties from Argentina are Torrontes and Malbec. Terrazas Reserva Torrontes has a beautiful pale yellow color with hints of green, and a fresh aroma of tropical fruits such as litchi and tangerine. An indigenous grape varietal to Argentina, Torrontes can handle the spice of Latin cuisine, and pairs beautifully with anything from ceviche to spicy empanadas.
Malbec we have found, flourishes at around 3,500 feet, higher than our Cabernet, but lower and warmer than our Chardonnay. Terrazas Reserva Malbec has an intense purple color and very expressive aromas of violet, raspberry, cherry, toasted coffee and chocolate. It pairs beautifully with red meats, poultry and vegetables off the grill. Also available from Terrazas de los Andes are Reserva Chardonnay, Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon, Single Vineyard Las Compuertas Malbec and Single Vineyard Los Aromos Cabernet Sauvignon.
