    The Miami Beach Kizomba Festival (MBKF): MBKF, taking place in Miami Beach from August 22-27, 2018, aims to bridge the gap between Africa and the African diaspora by sharing the music, dance and culture of various African countries and encouraging cross-cultural understanding. Going on to its 5th year and attracting more than 1,000 attendees, MBKF is able to bring this to life by educating them through dance workshops and music concerts.

    The restored Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs is the former Florida home of famed aviator and inventor, Glenn Hammond Curtiss. The mansion was built in 1925 and the architecture is Pueblo Revival. Known as the “Father of Naval Aviation” and “The Fastest Man on Earth.” Along with his more than 500 inventions/400 patents and contributions to the aviation industry, Curtiss was also instrumental in the 1920s land boom of Miami.

    These one-hour tours of the mansion take place every Saturday from 10-11 a.m.
