Summer Shorts Festival

Summer Shorts — “America’s Short Play Festival” — is proof that a play doesn’t have to be long to entertain. The summertime theatre festival has been a hit with South Florida audiences ever since Summer Shorts was first produced in 1996. Each of the one-act plays in the Summer Shorts Festival is anywhere from five to 20 minutes in length.

The Summer Shorts Festival is comprised of three theatre series: Signature Shorts, the original Summer Shorts offering; Shorts for Kids!, a family-friendly mix of short plays designed with youngsters in mind; and Undershorts, a showcase for late-night entertainment aimed at adults.

The Summer Shorts theatre festival is a production of City Theatre, a nonprofit professional theatre company based in Miami.
