From visiting Broadway productions to new works by South Florida playwrights, world class musicians and dance theater, Miami offers an all-star lineup of theatrical productions across the city.

Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts

The heart of Miami’s performing arts culture, the Adrienne Arsht Center is home to the Miami City Ballet, the Florida Grand Opera and the New World Symphony. With three theaters in the complex, the Ziff Ballet Opera House, Knight Concert Hall and Carnival Studio Theater, it also hosts touring Broadway productions, dance, comedy, jazz, cabaret and every type of performing arts production under the sun.

New World Center

Home to the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy, the New World Center is a stunning state-of-the-art facility designed by star architect Frank Gehry. Under the direction of conductor Michael Tilson Thomas, the New World Symphony presents classical and cutting edge symphonic works inside its theater as well as broadcast live on its exterior wall before Soundscape Park.

Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts

Inside the historic treasure of Moorish architecture and design, the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts hosts a dynamic lineup of musicians, storytellers, comedians and dance from around the globe. Founded in 1926 as a silent movie theater in the heart of downtown Miami, a performance at this exceptional venue is always a special occasion.

The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater

The Fillmore is an Art Deco landmark in Miami Beach and one of the premiere venues for concerts and comedy. From underground indie artists to headlining acts, its musical lineup is always dynamic. The Fillmore also plays host to the South Beach Comedy Festival every April and you can expect a stellar lineup of comedians year round.

Actor’s Playhouse at the Miracle Mile Theater

Miami’s premiere regional theater is Actor’s Playhouse at the Miracle Mile Theater in Coral Gables. Expect top-notch productions of both new plays and classic revivals with talented actors in an intimate setting on tree-lined Miracle Mile.

GableStage at the Biltmore

GableStage at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables presents some of the edgiest works in local theater. Known as a creative powerhouse for its non-traditional casting and risky choices, come for something unexpected.

City Theatre

City Theatre is the company responsible for the celebrated Summer Shorts-America’s Short Play Festival held at the Arsht Center featuring new works. With over 20 years in production, they’re dedicated to the short play format.

Miami Theater Center

Miami Theater Center in Miami Shores is a company dedicated to new works and fresh interpretations of classic plays. They host both resident troupes and visiting performers with educational programs and a film partnership with O Cinema.

Jerry Herman Ring Theatre at University of Miami

The University of Miami’s resident theater company calls the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre home. For cutting edge university theater, workshops and productions in residence, Jerry Herman Ring is the place to spot up and coming student talent.

New World Dance Theatre

New World School of the Arts is a premiere training ground for actors dancers and musicians at the high school and college level. Located in downtown Miami, their dance theatre is an intimate 200-seat house for young performers to showcase their crafts.

Miami Light Project

A true grassroots theater company, the Miami Light Project is dedicated to new works, from performance art to music and dance at a warehouse space in Wynwood. Expect culturally and creatively provocative productions from a wide swath of artists.
