Halloween. It’s a chance to masquerade for the night and become someone else. It’s a night to trick or treat. It can be ghoulish and ghastly, fantastical and fun, or scandalous and sassy. No matter your take on Halloween, chances are there’s an event or party in Miami that will get you excited to play dress up. Whether it’s a family-friendly outing, a spooky haunted house, a raucous party or a costumed morning run on the beach, the Magic City delivers. Here are the many festive, fun and freaky ways to celebrate Halloween in Miami.
Spooktober At Zoo Miami
Through October 31
Get spooked at the zoo with a host of Halloween festivities all month long. Step inside of Dr. Wilde’s Creepy House. The 7,000 square-foot haunted house promises to send chills up your spine with themed rooms featuring everything from crawling cockroaches to stray cats to frozen zookeepers. Enjoy Spooky Zoo Nights on 27 from 7pm to 11pm. It’s an after-hours family event with spooky tram rides, ghoulish carousel rides, and chilling story-telling around a fire pit. For daytime trick or treating, come out for Zoo Boo on October 27 and 28 where you can enjoy costume contests, arts and crafts, special performances and more.
House of Horror Amusement Park at International Mall
Through October 31
For a true haunted house fright fest, a visit to the House of Horror Amusement Park is a must. Not for the faint of heart, this two-acre haunted house features more than 25 different terrifying scenes, over 30 creepy characters lurking in the shadows, and it promises to make you shriek. There’s also plenty of fun for the little ones. The park also boasts carnival rides, concession stands, circus sideshow acts and live musical performances for a fright-filled night of fun.
Monster Splash Daytime Splash & Nighttime Bash at Miami Seaquarium
Saturday, October 27, 28th & 31st, Noon- 10pm
Little ghosts and goblins get set for big fun at Miami’s biggest kid-friendly Halloween Extravaganza at Miami Seaquarium’s Monster Splash Daytime Splash & Nighttime Bash. This year’s event features trick-or-treating at Sharky’s Sweet Tooth Station; kiddie rides and bounce houses at the Little Monsters Play Area; the Monsters in the Mangrove Haunted Walk; Flipper’s Dance Party and the only place in Miami to enjoy Halloween themed marine animal show. Halloween themed marine animal shows to give guests a fright includes a daytime Superheroes Killer Whale Show, Flipper’s Thrills and Chills, Finding Hemo sea lion show along with the splashy fun of the Swashbuckling Pirate Top Deck dolphin Show. Miami Seaquarium is offering a special reduced rate after 5pm.
The Vampire Circus
Through October 31, Tues-Sat. 8pm; Sun. 5pm
The Vampire Circus showcases live entertainment, based on the multidisciplinary skills of 30 world-class artists showcasing theater, dance and gymnastics. The cast is an eclectic mix of professional that includes the most renowned clown in the world “Slava the Clown,” magicians trained from the original folklore, world champion acrobats and gymnasts recruited from the top acrobatic clubs across the globe who have achieved Guinness Book of Records fame.
The show is inspired by the magical and captivating allure of legendary traveling carnivals. Located in the downtown Miami area, the mysterious Big Top sits on Bayfront Park. Regular Vamp performance days are Tuesday through Friday at 8 pm. Saturday shows begin at 8 pm and Sunday shows begin at 5pm.
Halloween Night on Lincoln Road Mall
Wednesday, October 31, Sunset until late
Join the biggest costume party in South Beach and parade up and down the pedestrian promenade of Lincoln Road Mall in your wildest getup. It’s a must see for visitors and locals alike. Families, and doggies, are welcome. The best part: It’s free!
Expect special events at the bars, restaurants and shops lining the road, as well as musical performances and a costume contest at the main stage. Lincoln Road promises unparalleled people watching any time of year, but it’s especially spectacular on Halloween!

Halloween at Bayside Marketplace
Wednesday, October 31, 5pm-7pm
Spend Halloween at downtown Miami’s Bayside Marketplace with free and fun activities. Take part in trick or treating throughout the center and enjoy live music and entertainment from Bayside’s colorful cast of street performers and win prizes. A discounted parking rate is offered to families with children in costume.
Halloween Spook-tacular at CocoWalk
Wednesday, October 31, 2pm-3am
Head to
Coconut Grove’s CocoWalk for an entire day of
free festivities. From 2pm to 6pm, kids can enjoy collecting trick-or-treat candy, participating in costume contests and other feature entertainment, including an up-close magician, tattoo and balloon artists and dancing away to spooky dance music!
Head to the photobooth from 4pm to 6 pm to take instant fun photos, which can be shared with friends and online. From 6pm to 11pm, listen away as the DJ plays top tunes and Latin music. But the party doesn’t stop. At 11pm, DJ George Jett of 360 MIX returns with the best party house & techno music as you dance the night away until 3am.
Halloween on the Mile
Wednesday, October 31, from 4pm-7PM
Coral Gables’ 15th Annual Halloween on the Mile returns. Always a family affair, there will be something for everyone, including those members of the furry canine variety. Participate in trick-or-treating along Miracle Mile and its adjacent streets, enjoy storytime and a variety of kids activities and enter the Kiddie Costume Contest at the Miracle Theatre. There's also a Doggie Costume Contest!
A Gypsy Halloween at Nikki Beach
Wednesday, October 31, 8pm-3am
The Gypsy Knights Halloween Dinner Party is a one of a kind way to celebrate Halloween. The night includes interactive entertainment featuring theatrical elements, dancing, fire performers, live music acts, DJ's and much more as you enjoy the sounds of the Atlantic Ocean amid swaying palms trees and warm breezes.
Super You & Me: Kim Kardashian’s Halloween Birthday Bash at LIV

If you’ve been dying to spot the Kardashians in Miami while filming the forthcoming installment of their reality hit “Kim & Kourtney Take Miami,” there may be no better guarantee than at Kim’s birthday bash at LIV.
