History buffs, collectors and locals will have a chance to meet the top collectors of South Florida memorabilia and even purchase pieces from them to start a collection of their own. From maps and postcards to restaurant china and railroad artifacts, this encore expanded event promises to be bigger and better than the successful 2016 showcase.
Photographer Jacob Hessler will give a tour of the exhibition and discuss themes of boundaries.
Outside the Box spotlights director, choreographer and YoungArts alumna Yara Travieso (2005 Winner in Dance), known for creating hybrid works of cinema, opera, theater and dance. Travieso creates cinematic worlds and live experiences centered around female protagonists, intersecting cinema, theater, dance, music and storytelling.
