Doral

Doral

Hop on the free trolley and it’s a cinch to explore all of Doral. Near MIA, hotels, and two outstanding shopping malls, Doral is very popular among Latin Americans. In particular, Venezuelans love local restaurant El Arepazo. However, if you ask Ignacio, a longtime local teacher, musician, and boot camp leader, he’ll direct you to his favorite haunt – Shorty’s BBQ. Of course, if you’re ready for some top-tier luxury with a side of humility, he’ll point you to Trump National Doral Miami, home to an annual PGA event, as well as six golf courses, including the aptly named Blue Monster.

Hop aboard the free trolley and find yourself connected to the best of Doral, and that includes meeting the locals. Then get ready to shop – like you mean it, in Dolphin Mall and its neighbor, Miami International Mall. With over 39 eateries and 380 stores between the two malls, and a million square feet in one mall alone, there is no doubt that you will find what you’re looking for, and a whole lot more, in these premier family-friendly shopping meccas.

Their sign says food, sports, fun and they mean it. Carolina Ale House is where your neighborhood British pub meets Carolina flavor. Made with fresh ingredients in scratch-made recipes, their menu features fresh never-frozen grilled, fried, classic, or boneless Carolina-spiced chicken wings, with a deliciously tangy barbecue sauce. Top it off with an award-winning selection of draft and bottled beer, along with every game on more screens than you can possibly keep track of.

Renamed, reimagined, redesigned, and currently undergoing a dramatic and transformative restoration, the new Trump National Doral is bringing Trump’s renowned five-star service to South Florida. Destined to become the world’s finest golf resort, it is being revitalized to include elegantly deluxe accommodations, over 100,000 sf of meeting space, the pampering Spa at Doral, four restaurants and bars, and 90 holes of championship golf, including the famed PGA course, the Blue Monster.

Three lushly landscaped acres, complete with a children’s playground, picnic tables, a great walking/jogging path, and a large open lawn all work together to deliver the ideal outdoor park experience. Open seven days a week, from 7am to sunset, Downtown Doral Park is next to the City of Doral Government Center.

Here in South Florida, El Arepazo is often referred to as Venezuelans’ home away from home. And no wonder – their menu features distinctly Venezuelan cuisine made with premium quality cuisine: the flag, roasted black, shredded beef, pork, a wide array of arepas, cachapas, empanadas, tequeños, and so, so  much more. Guests enjoy televised sports, mingling with the locals even more, feasting inside and out, dominos on Thursdays, and events political, social, or musical in nature. It is the best of Venezuela, right here in Doral.
