Miami ’s Tobacco Road will have you singing the blues seven nights a week. With its nightly menu of live blues bands, Tobacco Road represents an alternative to Miami’s Latin music scene. Audiences at Tobacco Road have enjoyed performances by such well-known blues musicians as B.B. King, Koko Taylor, Albert Collins and Jr. Washington.
Tobacco Road is famous for more than its live entertainment. The legendary nightclub, in operation since 1912, is also known for its colorful past. During the Prohibition era, Tobacco Road served as a speakeasy and a gambling hall. Its most famous patron was undoubtedly gangster Al Capone. Tobacco Road also has the distinction of holding Miami’s oldest liquor license…in spite of numerous attempts to have the neighborhood watering hole shut down.
Modern-day visitors to Tobacco Road will find that the blues bar’s days of “debauchery” are a thing of the past. Today, Tobacco Road invites guests from all walks of life to enjoy an evening of live blues, liquid refreshment and affordable food. The dining menu at Tobacco Road features a wide range of offerings, including sandwiches, sirloin burgers, buffalo wings and French fries. On Tuesday nights, the Tobacco Road kitchen serves a 1 ¼-pound lobster dinner.
