Taxis

Hail a cab or call for one to get you from Point A to Point B. Miami’s taxis are available on the street in most busy areas.

Miami is a driving city and if you aren’t driving yourself, having a knowledgeable cab driver will get you where you’re going quick and easily.

The current fare of a direct cab ride from the Miami International Airport (MIA) to the Port of Miami is $24. The Port is located in the Downtown Miami area, so if your hotel is Downtown it will cost about $21. If your hotel is on Miami Beach or South Beach between Lincoln Road and 41st Street, it will be a flat rate of $32.

Be sure that you bring cash with you. Some Miami cabs have a credit card reader, but the city’s whole fleet is yet to go digital, so you’ll still need paper money to pay.
