Super Bowl XLIV - Miami's record 10th time hosting a Super Bowl - takes place on February 7, 2010. Sun, fun, and a host of special events will entertain fans throughout the city. Champions Arch: Built by Gerdau Ameristeel

The South Florida Super Bowl Host Committee's Champions Arch: Built by Gerdau Ameristeel celebrates the nine past champions crowned in South Florida, while creating a visual bridge uniting the games played first at the Orange Bowl and now at Dolphin Stadium. Recycled steel is also used to create nine one-of-a-kind sculptures representing past champions along with the two conference champions, one of whom will join the great champions of past South Florida Super Bowls. Gerdau Ameristeel has once again provided recycled steel for the project that includes a large structure which will span South Beach's famed Ocean Drive along with 11 smaller structures that will be displayed on the Lummis Park side of the street. On display from January 29th through February 7th.

Dog Bowl 2010
Dogs and their owners will demonstrate a range of football tricks and compete for the Most Valuable Pooch (MVP) Title in honor of Sunday's Big Game. Celebrity judges include Hines Ward, wide receiver for NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers and MVP of Super Bowl XL and Tracy Hanna, nationally renowned dog trainer. Grand prize includes two tickets to Super Bowl XLIV, and runner-ups will take home a year's supply of Hill's Science Diet Simple Essential Treats. Hines Ward will also give away signed jerseys and footballs to audience members throughout the event. Florida Athlete’s Ball
The AAG Foundation, in association with Foxx Entertainment Group, will host the Florida Athlete’s Ball (The FAB) at Jungle Island in Miami on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 9 p.m. – just days before the Big Game.  The general public is invited to attend this event, hosted by NFL All-Pro & University of Miami Alum Ray Lewis, BET Host MeMpHiTz and more than 50 professional athletes and celebrities expected in attendance, such as actor/rapper Ludacris, entertainer Jamie Foxx and NBA Hall of Famer Julius “Dr. J” Erving.
