SHOPPING IN STYLE

Aventura Mall has begun a comprehensive renovation project that will bring a fresh and contemporary look to the internationally popular shopping destination. It marks the mall’s first renovation since 1997. The $21 million renovation and $125 million expansion includes the addition of Nordstrom and a new three-level 232,000-square-foot wing of new stores and restaurants, set to debut in fall 2007. For more information, visit www.ShopAventuraMall.com.

Bal Harbour Shops added two new jewelry stores to its roster this summer: Audemars Piguet, the Switzerland-based men’s and women’s fine watch company founded in 1875, and Graff Jewelers, a London-based jewelry company known for its exquisite diamonds. With these additions, Bal Harbour Shops has the highest concentration of world-class jewelers and watches in the U.S. Also new is the French bistro La Goulue, which was opened this summer by Manhattan-based chef Christian Delouvrier. Jimmy Choo, whose hand-made shoes were made famous by the HBO series “Sex and the City,” is launching a store in November. For more information, visit www.BalHarbourShops.com.

In an effort to continue offering a wide selection of retail, dining and entertainment options, Dolphin Mall is adding five new stores and expanding the menu at its Ramblas Outdoor Plaza to include Japanese, Southwestern, Northern Italian and gourmet Mexican cuisine. Known for its live entertainment, celebrity guest appearances, delicious food and fun, Ramblas will be home this year to four new restaurants: BiCE’s Grand Café, Kobe Japanese Steak and Seafood, SouthWest NY and the luxuriously appointed Merchants NY Cigar Bar, as well as 100% Natural. New stores opening at the mall include: Aeropostale, Ann Taylor Factory Store, The Body Shop, Clarks Bostonian Outlet and Perry Ellis & More. For more information, visit www.ShopDolphinMall.com.
