Affordable Upscale Hotels 

Directly facing Biscayne Bay in the heart of downtown, DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Hotel Biscayne Bay Miami is located inside a luxury condo tower at the edge of the chic, residential neighborhood of Edgewater. With easy access to the MetroMover (Miami’s free elevated mass transit system), you’ll reach major downtown attractions in a matter of minutes. With 152 guest rooms and 50 condos, the hotel also boasts four restaurants. With an outdoor pool, fitness center, salon, spa and boutique shops on the lobby level, it’s almost like a city within a city—and it’s located just one mile from PortMiami.

Ideally located on Biscayne Bay in Downtown, the InterContinental Miami offers sweeping waterfront digs next to Bayfront Park. Walk to Bayside Marketplace for shopping and dining overlooking the water and retreat back to the luxurious 34-story marble tower for a good night’s sleep. The hotel recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation to its guest rooms and common areas, including a digital LED screen lighting up the entire façade that’s visible from South Beach. While the price at this Brickell apartment-hotel might seem steep, you’re getting a lot more for your money than your average hotel. More vacation rental than traditional hotel, each apartment suite comes at Churchill Suites Miami Brickell with separate sleeping, living and dining areas with a balcony and up to three bedrooms. They also feature fully-equipped kitchens and washer-dryers for a stay designed to be a home away from home. Located inside a new, luxurious, 36-floor building, you’ll be living large with a pool, fitness room, recreation center and more.

Tucked away downtown, overlooking the Miami River, the River Park Hotel & Suites Port of Miami might be the best kept secret for a budget-friendly hotel in a stellar central location. Featuring complimentary breakfast, fitness facilities and a pool overlooking the river, you’re also an easy walk to Bayfront Park, Brickell and ample dining and nightlife. Catering to cruise ship passengers, they also provide shuttle service to PortMiami for a small fee.

For an unexpected tropical retreat in the heart of Brickell, look no further than Hotel Urbano at Brickell. Filled with local art, an inviting pool with cabanas and a fire pit, as well as a stylish restaurant Bistro Urbano, this hotel offers all the local flavor and charm you desire at an incredible price point. It’s also attractive for art lovers, as it features rotating exhibitions and a staff full of information about the Wynwood Arts District.

Brand Name Hotels

While the Holiday Inn is always a solid option for budget travel and familiar creature comforts like hot breakfast, clean rooms and a workout facility—the Holiday Inn Port of Miami Downtown's prices keep at pace with many area hotels. With 200 rooms, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and an outdoor pool, the Holiday Inn is located within minutes to PortMiami. 

Whether you’re a member of the Hilton HHonors loyalty program, or you’re simply looking for a comfortable full service hotel in the heart of the city, Hilton Miami Downtown offers an ideal location on Biscayne Bay. Also a Hilton HHonors member hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites Miami Brickell/Downtown offers more Miami flavor than you might expect from a major chain hotel.
