Convention Sales Manager

With a dynamic sales attitude, you will promote Greater Miami and the Beaches as the premiere destination for conventions and meetings. Utilize your experience in convention, hotel or bureau sales plus your knowledge of selling, closing and telemarketing to create your own career dream. This position reports to the Vice President or the Associate Vice President, Convention Sales.

If you are outgoing, enjoy moderate travel, communicate effectively and dazzle customers with outstanding presentations, then you are ideal. You must be computer proficient, write well and evidence your sales tracks record. Corporate and or association market. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Success in this position requires strong interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with clients and peers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years hotel sales, destination sales, or related sales experience.
  • Demonstrated technical competence and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Type 30 correct words per minute.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English well.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively when delivering accurate information to sales staff and clients.
  • Good and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Rational thinking and attention to detail.
