Catch a free performance by acclaimed Afro-Cuban flutist, vocalist and composer Magela Herrera at the June installment of MOCA’s free outdoor concert series - Jazz at MOCA. Considered to be one of Cuba's leading jazz flute players, Herrera holds a master’s degree in jazz and improvised music performance and a bachelor’s degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music. She was a member of the renowned Cuban jazz and fusion ensemble Mezcla and has now evolved as a pianist, vocalist, arranger and composer leading her own projects.
