The Town of Surfside is kicking off the new year with a monthly gathering under the stars featuring the best Surfside has to offer. Tourists, residents and visitors are invited to this fresh, new arts and culture series every every first Saturday of the month starting on Jan. 7, 2023 and running through April. There will be three different activation zones that showcase creative acts, live performances, music, food and local vendors. Offering entertainment for all ages, there will be a designated adult lounge area to kick back at as well as activity areas for the kiddos.

Presented by the Surfside Tourist Board, this family-friendly celebration will have different themes throughout the 2023 season. Each Saturday night, expect to be surprised with diverse acts, immersive activities and presentations.

Kicking off on Jan. 7, the first ever Surfside Under the Starts is themed World Beats. This festivity embraces the spirit of dance, percussion and art. The night will be filled with exotic experiences such as fire dancing, Brazilian Capoeira demonstration, drum percussion circle and the chance for attendees to participate in Live mural painting.
On Feb. 4, entice your taste buds with a gastronomic extravaganza. Taste of Surfside is a celebration of Surfside’s culinary richness and Miami’s food and beverage talent. The night will feature local chef demonstrations, mixology competition, adult wine lounge and live music by the French Horn Collective.
Welcoming spring on March 4, the third installment of the series is themed Shell-a-Bration, an eco-tropical festivity of Surfside’s unique location as a turtle nesting area and tropical setting. The night will feature Caribbean food, Calypso band music, with representatives from Pelican Harbor Seabird Station and Plastic Fisherman and more!
Closing out the season will be Surf’s-Up!, a highlight of Surfside’s surfing community and enhanced identity as a surfing destination will take center stage on April 1. Attendees will get to immerse in Tike-themed decor, island music and enjoy tropical drinks.
