Sophisticated and beautiful sacred music to dramatic and virtuosic opera arias, the countertenor voice is a unique male voice whose vocal range is that of a female contralto or mezzo-soprano. This concert will feature centuries worth of music representing the rich history of this voice type, featuring the music of Handel, Bach, and Vivaldi to today’s composers such as Dove, Muhly, and Hagen.
