Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) in partnership with Contemporary African Diaspora Art (CADA) will present an interactive conversation about Afro-Luminosity on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Arts & Recreation Center (ARC), located at 675 Ali Baba Avenue in Opa-locka.

The Art Talk will be moderated by Ludlow Bailey and will feature contributions from Ethiopian artist, Indrias Kassaye, Kandy Lopez, Michael Hudson and Saddi Khali. The conversation will reflect the contribution of these artists whose work in many ways express some level of Afro-Luminosity. Afro-Luminosity is an energy field that is generated by the cultural expression of African people; a kind of cultural, spiritual, and artistic expression that captures the soul and quintessence of black creative genius.

Now in its 4th year, Art Of Black Miami lives all year. The Art Talk is one of the first events of "Art Of Black Miami 365" and is open to the general public. It is the place to market and promote the visual arts including paintings, sculptures, art exhibitions and performances the entire year. Art Of Black was launched in 2013 to showcase African Americans, Caribbean, Hispanics, and African diaspora art during Art Basel Miami Beach.
