Miami Arts & Heritage Months

We're celebrating Miami Arts & Heritage Months with this special event.

Art of Black: The Art Blues Soul & BBQ Festival celebrates the arts, sounds and flavors of Black Miami during Art Basel week. It is presented by the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center (AHCAC) -- a facility managed by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs -- on the campus grounds located at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Moonlight Way. The Art Blues Soul & BBQ Festival features:

- National and local artists performing music from the blues and soul genres live on an outdoor stage

- Brilliant art exhibitions inside the Center’s Amadlozi Gallery and outside in pop-ups strategically placed on the campus grounds. Displayed inside the gallery from December 1 – 31 is a juried art exhibition of the works of Ray Parris, Nana Blackman, Darryn Ferguson, Henry Reedeema Pierre, Lucius King and Carla Jamieson. These visual artists have played major roles in developing the artistic talents of current and past AHCAC students who have also become professional artists.

- A highly competitive BBQ grilling challenge with VIP judges and HBCU contestants

- A variety of food vendors

- Free general admission, RSVP required. Limited VIP and reserved seating available for purchase.

RSVP for free and/or buy tickets on Evenbrite.com
