Little Haiti Walking Tour & Tasting

`

Come explore the authentic culture and heritage of this Miami neighborhood (also known as historic Lemon City), which is the cultural heart of the Haitian diaspora.

Waves of Haitian immigrants sought refuge here in the ’80s, resulting in a bright, ever-present celebration of all things Caribbean that can be found in galleries, museums, family-owned restaurants, and bookstores. A casual walking tour showcases local cultural sites such as the Little Haiti Cultural Center & Caribbean Marketplace, and highlights of new developments such as the Little River Business District and Miami Ironside as well as future developments currently underway such as the Magic City Innovative District planned for Little Haiti. A delicious tasting of Haitian cuisine such as Griot (fried pork) and Banann peze (fried plantain is included following the walking tour.
