Miami Music Week

By: Lori Kahn

In the last week of March each year, Miami becomes the ultimate dance mecca for all the world’s dance music fans.

Now in its seventh year, Miami Music Week (MMW) is one of the world’s most recognized music events and every year, hundreds of thousands of people from across the globe descend on Miami to appreciate the music, rave to the beat and - dare we say? Party. Miami does love a good party, after all.

This time of year the city transforms itself into a dance music paradise – even more so than the rest of the year. MMW unifies events in the city as every venue opens its doors for a week long marathon of parties featuring almost every major artist in the electronic dance music scene. In 2016, over 1,180 artists, DJs, electronic musicians, and producers from all over the world, from house to techno, performed at more than 260 events hosted in more than 78 venues.

"The Miami Music Week Hotel" is the featured event location for MMW every year. Located in beautiful South Beach, the hip and upscale Delano Hotel will serve as the heart of MMW parties in Miami during the week. With two distinct venues hosting official MMW events all week long, music fans from around the world gather day and night to experience the best dance music – and parties - that Miami has to offer.

Ultra Music Festival the world's premier electronic music event, serves as the ultimate bash to conclude MMW's week. This mega three-day music and dance marathon, is attended by over 150,000 fans representing 90 countries. Ultra has truly defined electronic dance music.
