What started as a small weekend seafood festival on South Beach has grown into a very Miami week-long seafood spectacular. South Beach Seafood Week is not your ordinary seafood festival, but a Sobe Food and Wine type experience that kicks off Miami’s globally-recognized stone crab season every October.  This high-end event is full of Miami’s leading chefs displaying their cooking talents through a variety of culinary competitions and showcases and leading into Saturday’s Festival with music, food and open bars at the heart of South Beach. Eat, drink, and indulge as you experience the ultimate Seafood Festival to be found anywhere.

Saturday’s Jack Daniel’s sponsored beachfront festival is a four block party where over 13,000 seafoodies get to enjoy a day of fun in the sun in the Sobe way. Indulge your taste buds at pop up cafes from Miami’s leading restaurateurs from Joe’s Stone Crabs to A Fish Called Avalon and Naked Taco, just to start.  

Find the freshest and most delicious seafood dishes all paired with free open bars for 21 and over, live music at the Main Stage, iHeart Radio DJs at the Jack Daniel’s Beach Club, games, culinary demos in the Whole Foods Market Culinary Showcase, VIP Experiences in the Range Rover Hospitality Village, VIP Dance Club, and so much more – right on the sand.

A Week of Seafood Savoring

South Beach Seafood Week includes impressive culinary events leading up to Saturday’s huge 4 block beachfront festival from Tuesday Octber 16, 2018 – Oct 20th. Starting with Tuesday’s new “Crabs, Slabs and Cabs” featuring Menin Hospitality on Tuesday through Friday’s incredible VIP “Chef Showdown“, the ultimate Miami Chef Competition to hit the sands of South Beach in GOYA’s Culinary Pavilion where you get to be the judge. CRABS, SLABS & CABS

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

This all-inclusive ticket for one includes specialty cocktails/beer/wine available at arrival, plus complete access to the event in the VIP Garden with unlimited dining stations and wine.

On Tuesday, October 16th, the week’s seafood events kick off at the Shelborne Miami Beach’s VIP pool deck garden with an ode to stone crab season’s start. Crabs, Slabs and Cabs brings executive chefs from Menin Hospitality’s hot spots to put on a culinary showcase of crab and meat surf n’ turf and wine pairings from one of Jackson Family’s featured Master of Wines and starting with the ultimate crab boil.  Don’t miss out on the delicious sides table hosted by GOYA Foods.

This all-inclusive ticket includes a seat at the VIP dining experience of six incredible courses from Chef Sean Brasel and Chef Fernando Desa, each accompanied by a Herraura cocktail as well as a gift bag from Goya to take home.

Hosted by Executive Chef Sean Brasel of Meat Market and Celebrity Chef Fernando Desa from GOYA’s culinary kitchens, Cooking and Cocktails is an extraordinary take on a traditional pairings evening with a one-of-a-kind six-course tapas style dining experience at Meat Market on Lincoln Road. Mix, mingle and enjoy as you dive into tasty seafood dishes and classic and not-so-classic cocktails.

Each course will be paired with a unique cocktail, brought to you by Herradura brand ambassador, along with Ezra Pattek, lead mixologist of Meat Market, who will jointly help you explore the art of the perfect garnish and adding your favorite 4th to the one with the horseshoe. Surprise your palates as you enter into an experience where our featured guests won’t let you go home empty-handed.

Enjoy welcome wines by Cambria Wines and “Make Your Own Margarita” with Herradura Tequila. There will be recipes and culinary gifts will be provided as you are walked you through a delicious evening under the stars on the famous Lincoln Road.

Tickets include a cocktail hour with private VIP room 5-course wine pairing dinner, premium open bar throughout the evening with VIP gift bags to take home.

An Evening At Joe’s is presented by La Crema and includes an impressive Cocktail Hour prior to dinner featuring cocktails by Jack Daniels, Herradura and Finlandia.

After cocktails, enjoy a VIP Jesse's Room experience, the original setting of Joe’s Stone Crab where historic icons such as Al Capone and Frank Sinatra cracked claws. You will then experience the delicious cuisine of Joe’s Chef Andre Bienvenue with five-courses of Joe's famous seafood paired with fine wines by event host, Jackson Family Winery and their Master Sommelier, Thomas Price. Travel back in time with Joe’s General Manager Brian Johnson while learning to crack the perfect claw enjoy the world’s freshest stone crab catch of 2018 - before anyone else.

CHEF SHOWDOWN

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19 7:00 PM-11:00 PM
At Lummus Park on 12th Street & Ocean Drive in South Beach

Tickets include an all-inclusive tasting of each chef's competition dishes available at each of the 16 restaurant battle stations of which you will play the judge, open bars, master cake decorating and a seafood raw bar.

The Chef Showdown is where you get to be the judge of some of the most talented chefs ever to grace Miami’s top kitchens. You will also have a one-of-a-kind Sonoma garden experience, sampling fruits and tasting the wines that are made from these fresh ingredients. There will also be samplings from Herradura's Bartender Competition and access to the Casa Herradura Experience, the Celebrity Cruise private entertainment experience and an all-night party in the Goya VIP Culinary Pavilion featuring Miami's hottest DJs. Enjoy all the seafood you can possibly eat as well as playing your part in picking the winning chefs for this year’s battle of the best.

This is the best of Miami’s culinary creators, featuring 16 of Miami’s most progressive and recognized Executive Chefs. Chefs will go head-to-head in 8 different seafood battles. Chefs from each battle will take the stage throughout the night in the showcase kitchen and then guests will visit each restaurant sampling station around the hospitality village and sample the dishes demonstrated on the main stage. Then, you get to vote to ultimately decide the top seafood cooking champions.

There is also a cocktail challenge as well with the 2nd Annual Herradura Showdown - reigning champion, Courtney Lane of Employees Only judging. Featuring the top bartenders in South Florida, battling it out in the Casa Herradura for the title of Champion. You won’t want to miss the show or the tasty craft cocktails. This is a full flavor night to remember.

 

SOUTH BEACH SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

Saturday, October 20 is the 5th Annual South Beach Seafood Festival featuring pop up café’s from the likes of Joe’s Stone Crab, Cibo, Red the Steakhouse, Dragonfly, Lobster Bar Sea Grille, A Fish Called Avalon, La Moderna, Nikki Beach, Toro Toro, Rusty Pelican, Whole Foods and Meat Market featuring Miami Smokers.

With 18 restaurants serving you right on the sand, you are in for a seafood eating experience unlike any other. Enjoy Stone Crabs, Lobster Waffle Cones, Steak & Lobster Skewers, Shrimp Tacos, Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail, Gyros, Crab Cakes, Grouper in a Bag, Lobster Mac ‘N Cheese and more. There is no way you will leave hungry.

This is your day to play in the all new Jack Daniel’s Beach Club with local DJs playing today’s hottest beats all day long. Play corn hole, Jenga and other life-size games at the all new beer garden while the Main Stage jams all day long with live music from South Florida’s best bands. Learn a little something in the demo zone where featured chefs and master mixologists will teach you how to become the ultimate seafood pairing cook in your own home.

 

COMMUNITY INITIATIVES FOUNDATION

Proceeds from the South Beach Seafood Festival all go to benefit the Community Initiatives Foundation programs. CI Foundation has an EAT SMART program that encourages quality youth nutrition and childhood development by providing healthy weekend meals and nutritional education to Miami Beach kids.
