March is a month of exploration, experimentation and new adventures in Miami. It’s the perfect time to make things happen and there are hot events aplenty to keep you busy, busy, busy.

Miami Health & Wellness Month: Feb 1 - Mar 31

Miami is a health-conscious kind of place. Who can blame us when we have some of the most beautiful beaches and parks along our coastline? Stay in tiptop shape when you visit Miami. We are celebrating Miami Health & Wellness Months during February and March 2020. Celebrate a healthy lifestyle and take advantage of great offers on fitness classes, outdoorsy activities, spa treatments, golf and more.

Miami Sailing Week: Mar 4 - 10

Sailing teams from all over the world compete at Miami Sailing Week each March on Biscayne Bay. Rent a boat to catch the action from sea or keep an eye out on the horizon for brightly colored spinnakers. The event attracts more than 200 sailors each year and a hospitality village full of quality food, drink and family experiences pops up at Regatta Park in Coconut Grove. This year, the adults will sail on the first weekend and the youth category has been pushed back to the following weekend, so it’s twice the fun!

Winter Party Festival: Mar 4 - 10

A week of LGBT fun kicks off March with more than 10,000+ people from around the globe who visit Miami Beach for Winter Party Festival, one of the biggest LGBTQ festivals in the country, made up of more than a dozen official events. Founded in 1994 with just a single dance party on South Beach, today the weeklong celebration features live music and special events from sun up to sundown and around again. This year, they’ve announced a new host hotel, Royal Palm South Beach. Ticket prices vary depending on the event. Proceeds benefit the National LGBTQ Task Force.

Miami Film Festival: Mar 6 - 15

It’s the 37th annual Miami Film Festival, a platform for international and Ibero-American films that range from screening by well known names, workshops, and remains one of Miami’s biggest platforms for new creative talent. Showcasing hundreds of feature films, documentaries and shorts, Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival features works produced and directed by emerging talent from 40 countries at venues throughout the city. General admission tickets start at $13 per person and packages start at $116.

Carnaval Miami: Mar 7 - 15

Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile is taken over March 7 and 8, 2020 for two days of Latin music, food and cultural celebration at Carnaval on the Mile, the first of two local Carnaval Miami events hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana. The second event, on Sunday, March 15, is the Calle Ocho Music Festival held in the heart of Little Havana. Those are the two headline events, drawing thousands to celebrate in the streets, but there are about a dozen more ways to join in the spirit ranging from a golf tournament to food experiences and a Miss Carnaval Miami pageant. Ticket prices vary.

Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo: Mar 12 - Apr 5

The Fair! Be there! So goes the famous Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo where variety of family-friendly indoor and outdoor events, including the Youth Fair return every March. The largest fair in Florida and includes more than 90 carnival rides, concerts by popular artists, livestock and agricultural competitions, all the carnival food you know and love and more. Tickets start at $12. Note that the fair is closed on March 16 - 17, 30 - 31.

2020 Miami International Map Fair: Mar 13 - 15

The largest map fair in the Americas returns to HistoryMiami in Downtown Miami for three days of speakers, rare antiques and booths from dealers who have unearthed and preserved maps from all parts of the world. Bring in a map for an expert opinion, add something to your collection or find an interesting piece for your home. Tickets start at $5 for members of the museum and $15 for non-members.

International Orchid Festival: Mar 13 - 15

The 17th annual International Orchid Festival, at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, is an event that turns the already idyllic location into a veritable wonderland for plant enthusiasts. The International Orchid Festival showcases over 10,000 different orchid plants from local vendors and around the world. Enjoy exhibits, lectures, demos and fun, interactive hands-on activities. Be sure to visit The Million Orchid Project STEMLab, a mobile botanical propagation laboratory where you can assist the conservation team and take a look under the microscope. Tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for seniors, $12 for kids ages 6-17, free for kids 5 and under.

Jazz In The Gardens: Mar 14 - 15

Mary J. Blige, Charlie Wilson, Stokley, Jill Scott and The Roots with Bilal headline the annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival in Miami Gardens’ Hard Rock Stadium. For more than a decade this event has been drawing music-loving crowds out for a weekend of festival fun including more than just the musical acts. Two-day tickets are $99 in advance.

Veritage Farm to Fork Sunday Brunch: Mar 15

Chef Michael Schwartz headlines the Farm to Fork Sunday brunch to benefit the United Way of Miami-Dade. Join the organizers of Veritage Miami at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne for this annual bubbly brunch. This year’s event will be highlighting South Florida’s local produce and bounty under the direction of the James Beard Award-winning chef. Guests enjoy great food and local craft beers at the Coral Gables Country Club and a lively auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences. Tickets start at $500.

Winter Music Conference: Mar 16 - 18

Celebrating 35 years of bringing the music industry to Miami, the Winter Music Conference (now officially part of Miami Music Week) is returning to Miami Beach featuring programming for industry professionals and enthusiasts. Learn from the best producers, professionals and artists in the industry at this line-up of panel discussions, workshops and more. The conference is taking place at the Faena District.

Miami Music Week: Mar 16 - 22

Miami Music Week’s flagship events are Ultra Music Festival and Winter Music Conference, the larger umbrella event Miami Music Week attracts thousands of artists and electronic music industry delegates from 70 countries to Miami. Clubs and venues across the city host various parties and events.

Ultra Music Festival: Mar 20 - 22

Ultra Music Festival is back at Bayfront Park for a weekend of the world’s best DJs at this outdoor electronic music festival that features the biggest names in EDM. This year’s lineup includes headliners Flume, Gesaffelstein, Major Lazer and Zedd with more attention-grabbing artists like Afrojack, David Guetta, Carl Cox. 3 day general admission tickets start at $399.95.

Pinecrest Gardens Chili Cook-Off: Mar 21

Pinecrest Gardens is hosting its annual Chili Cook-Off hoe-down featuring country music bands, the Miami Heat Dancers, line-dancing, mechanical bull rides and lots of chili to taste, of course. The event is event sanctioned by the International Chili Society. Tickets start at $5 and admission for Pinecrest Gardens members is free.

Flamenco Festival Miami: Mar 21 - 29

Celebrate the incredible art of Spanish Flamenco! The world's most talented Flamenco performers, come together for a series of music and dance performances for Flamenco Festival Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami. Single show tickets start at $29 per person.

NASCAR: Mar 22

You’ve likely noticed by now that March is a busy, busy month in Miami; the Homestead Miami Speedway’s 2020 Cup Series Dixie Vodka 400, a NASCAR championship race, is riding that wave and has been rescheduled to March 22. This year, they’re going back to their roots and revving up their engines in the spring.

Additionally, the Speedway is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an inflated beach party! The winners of this race qualify for the NASCAR Playoffs, so join in the fast and furious fun.

Miami Open: Mar 23 - Apr 5

The top tennis players in the world compete at the Miami Open presented by Itaú tennis tournament. The event is now held at Hard Rock Stadium, but the spirit of elegant food (onsite eateries include Bluestone Lane Café, Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, Casa Tua Cucina, Kiki on the River and more local favorites), drink, art and, of course, the highest level of tennis, remains in tact. Tickets start at $18 for grandstand seats in the early rounds and $85 for reserved seating for the last four matches including the men’s semifinals, women’s final and men’s final.

Deering Seafood Festival: Mar 29

The 444- acre historic waterfront Deering Estate is the host to more than 8,000 people for a day of the freshest seafood featuring fresh catches, chef cooking demos, live music and a family-friendly atmosphere and kids entertainment, the Deering Seafood Festival offers entertainment for all ages. Come hungry!
