While the rest of the country is starting to thaw from winter’s chill, Miami is heating up in March with Ultra Music Festival, Carnaval Miami, the Miami Open and more. Whether you take a new fitness class during Miami Health & Wellness Month or listen to the world’s hottest DJs during Miami Music Week, March has something for everyone in Miami.

MIAMI HEALTH & WELLNESS MONTH: FEB 1 – MARCH 31

Stay in tiptop shape when you visit Miami. We are celebrating Miami Health & Wellness Months during February and March 2019. Celebrate a healthy lifestyle and take advantage of great offers on fitness classes, outdoorsy activities, spa treatments, golf and more.

WINTER PARTY FESTIVAL: FEB. 27 – MARCH 5

A week’s worth of parties draws over 10,000 people from around the globe to Miami Beach for Winter Party Festival, one of the biggest LGBTQ festivals in the country. Founded in 1994 with just a single dance party on South Beach, today the weeklong celebration features live music and special events from sun up to sundown and around again. Ticket prices vary depending on the event. Proceeds benefit the National LGBTQ Task Force.

MIAMI FILM FESTIVAL: MARCH 1-10

Showcasing hundreds of feature films, documentaries and shorts, Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival features works produced and directed by emerging talent from 40 countries at venues throughout the city. General admission tickets start at $13 per person.

DADE HERITAGE DAYS: MARCH 1 - MAY 15

Hosted by the Dade Heritage Trust, Dade Heritage Days celebrate historic places throughout Miami. Held throughout the city, events include special film screenings, tours, talks and more. Ticket prices vary.

CARNAVAL MIAMI: MARCH 2-10

Don’t miss this series of vibrant events celebrating Latin culture and hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana. Carnaval Miami includes the popular Carnaval on the Mile celebration on March 2-3, Cork & Fork food festival March 2-3, the lively Calle Ocho Music Festival on March 10, and more. Ticket prices vary.

VERITAGE MIAMI BUBBLY BRUNCH: MARCH 3

With proceeds benefiting the United Way of Miami-Dade, join the organizers of Veritage Miami at The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne for a bubbly brunch featuring an exquisite menu curated by chef José Mendín of Pubbelly fame, where guests enjoy great food, bottomless glasses of Perrier-Jouët Champagne and a lively auction of one-of-a-kind experiences. Tickets start at $500.

MIAMI SAILING WEEK: MARCH 4-10

Sailing teams from all over the world compete at Miami Sailing Week each March on Biscayne Bay. Rent a boat to catch the action from sea or keep an eye out on the horizon for brightly colored spinnakers. The event attracts more than 200 sailors each year. And this year, the organizers of Miami Sailing Week are celebrating their 10th anniversary.

INTERNATIONAL ORCHID FESTIVAL: MARCH 8-10

Held annually at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Coral Gables, the International Orchid Festival showcases over 10,000 different orchid plants from local vendors and around the world. Enjoy exhibits, lectures, demos and fun, interactive hands-on activities. Tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for seniors, $12 for kids ages 6-17, free for kids 5 and under.

JAZZ IN THE GARDENS: MARCH 9-10

The music industry’s hottest headliners perform at Hard Rock Stadium for the annual Jazz in the Gardens music festival in Miami Gardens. 2019 performers include Lionel Richie, EnVogue, Blackstreet, Bobby Brown, Doug E. Fresh, Stephanie Mills, Jagged Edge, Black Violin and more. Two-day tickets start at $99 in advance and $119 at the door.

9 MILE MUSIC FESTIVAL: MARCH 9

Groove to the sounds of reggae music at the annual 9 Mile Music Festival at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Performers will include Shabba, Sizza, Spice, Barrington Levy and more. Tickets start at $46 for general admission or $150 for VIP. Attendees are also asked to bring four canned goods as a charitable donation.

FLAMENCO FESTIVAL MIAMI: MARCH 13-17

Celebrate the incredible art of Spanish Flamenco! The world's most talented Flamenco performers, including the talented Sara Baras, come together for a series of six shows for Flamenco Festival Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Miami. Single show tickets start at $35 per person.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY FAIR & EXPO: MARCH 14 - APRIL 7

The Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo hosts a variety of family-friendly indoor and outdoor events, including the Youth Fair. It's the largest fair in Florida and includes more than 90 carnival rides, livestock and agricultural competitions, live concerts and more. Tickets start at $12.

MIAMI OPEN: MARCH 18-31

The top tennis players in the world compete at the Miami Open presented by Itaú tennis tournament. This is the first year the event will be held at Hard Rock Stadium. Tickets start at $20 for early rounds and $275 for reserved seating for the last four matches including the men’s semifinals, women’s final and men’s final.

PINECREST GARDENS CHILI COOK-OFF: MARCH 23

Pinecrest Gardens is hosting its annual Chili Cook-Off event featuring country music bands, line-dancing, mechanical bull rides and lots of chili to taste. Tickets start at $5 and admission for Pinecrest Gardens members is free.

MIAMI MUSIC WEEK: MARCH 25-31

Held annually and overlapping with Ultra Music Festival and Winter Music Conference, Miami Music Week attracts thousands of artists and electronic music industry delegates from 70 countries to the Magic City. Clubs and venues across the city host various parties and events.

WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE: MARCH 25-28

Now officially part of Miami Music Week, the Winter Music Conference is returning to Miami Beach and features programming for industry professionals and enthusiasts. The conference is taking place at the Faena District.

ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL: MARCH 29-31

The world’s best DJs perform at the Ultra Music Festival, an outdoor electronic music festival that features the biggest names in EDM. This year the festival has moved from Downtown Miami to the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park & Miami Marine Stadium.

DEERING SEAFOOD FESTIVAL: March 25

Featuring fresh catches from the sea, chef cooking demos, live music and a family-friendly atmosphere, the Deering Seafood Festival offers entertainment for all ages.

EVERGLADES BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL: March 2-4

Bring a lawn chair to Greynolds Park in North Miami Beach and enjoy the sounds of talented bluegrass artists. Ticket prices and camping prices vary. Parking is $7/day for cars, $15/day for RVs.
