Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo: March 15 - April 8

The Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo hosts a variety of family-friendly indoor and outdoor events, including the Youth Fair. It's the largest fair in Florida and includes more than 90 carnival rides, livestock and agricultural competitions, live concerts and more. Tickets start at $12.

Miami Open: March 19 - April 1

The top tennis players in the world compete at the Miami Open presented by Itaú tennis tournament. This is the last year the event will be held at the Crandon Park Tennis Center on Key Biscayne before it moves to Hard Rock Stadium in 2019. Ticket prices vary.

Miami Home and Design Remodeling Show: April 6 - 8

Bringing together vendors that offer products and services for homeowners looking to spruce up their homes, The Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show is back at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Ticket prices vary and are available in advance or at the door.

O, Miami Poetry Festival: April 1 - 30

Each spring, the O, Miami Poetry Festival attempts to deliver a poem to every single person in Miami-Dade County. Sponsored by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the festival features more than 40 free events and 20 projects throughout the city.

Miami Beach Gay Pride: April 2 - 8

Featuring a vibrant parade with more than 80,000 participants, the Miami Beach Gay Pride Festival is a weekend full of non-stop celebration. Highlights include the High Heel Race, Gay Pride Parade, Miami Pride Cruise and parties in and around the area’s nightclubs. The mission of Miami Beach Gay Pride is to bring together members and allies of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities hand in hand with Miami’s community. Ticket prices vary depending on the event.

The Longines Global Champions Tour: April 5 - 7

Talented riders and their horses will showcase their jumping skills right on the sands of South Beach for the The Longines Global Champions Tour. As the second leg of the multi-event championship tour, Miami Beach will provide the perfect backdrop as the world's top horses and riders compete. Visitors will have free access to seating around the arena on a first-come, first-served basis.

Miami Riverday Festival: April 7

Cruise down the Miami River on free boat rides, enjoy live music performances and learn more about the Lummas Park Historic District at the Miami Riverday Festival from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on April 7. Event admission is free.

Miami Cattle Show: April 13 - 15

Cows in Miami? Absolutely. Attracting 50,000 attendees each year, the Miami International Agricultural, Horse and Cattle Show is held at the Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center at Tropical Park. View live auctions, cattle and horse shows, live music performances, a car show, food trucks and an interactive children’s exhibit with live farm animals. Tickets sales benefit the South Florida Autism Charter Schools.

Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival: April 14 - 15

Sing the blues and chow down on traditional slow-cooked barbecue at the Redland Blues & Barbecue Festival at the Fruit & Spice Park in Homestead. Family-friendly activities include pony rides and games for the kids. General admission is $8 per person and children 11 and under are free.

South Beach Triathlon: April 15

Test your physical fitness at the South Beach Triathlon. Athletes will compete by running, swimming and biking along Miami Beach's gorgeous shoreline. Life Time Tri is hosting the 2018 South Beach Triathlon with 100 percent of proceeds going directly to featured charity partner, Save the Children.

Hispanicize: April 17 - 19

Latino trendsetters and entrepreneurs unite for Hispanicize 2018. The event will take place at the JW Marriott Marquis and is a launch pad for creative endeavors, new products, technologies, marketing campaigns, films, books and more. General admission starts at $125 per person.

The Eagles and Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band: April 18

Head to Hard Rock Stadium for a concert featuring The Eagles – Don Henley, Joe Walsh & Timothy B. Schmit, with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, as well as special guests Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band.

OUTShine Film Festival: April 20 - 29

Designed to educate the public about LGBTQ experiences, the OUTShine Film Festival takes place in various locations around Miami and Miami Beach. The ten-day event features more than 65 films. Ticket prices vary depending on the screening.

AIDS Walk Miami: April 22

Get your heart pumping for a good cause at the annual AIDS Walk Miami. Taking place on Miami Beach, the event is a 5K walk-a-thon fundraiser through the picturesque streets of South Beach benefiting more than 15,000 individuals in South Florida affected by HIV/AIDS. Proceeds benefit Care Resource and Food for Life Network.

Earth Day at Pinecrest Gardens: April 22

Celebrate Earth Day at Pinecrest Gardens. Fun for the whole family, the free event will feature plant vendors, workshops, food demos, crafts for kids, wildlife shoes, lady bug releases and performances by Fantasy Theater.

The Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run: April 26

Take strides for better health at the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run. Unlike most races of its kind that occur in the early morning, this 5K run/walk happens after work in Downtown at Bayfront Park. Registration is $40 per team member.

Miami Downtown Jazz Festival: April 26 - 28

Enjoy live jazz performances at locations throughout Downtown and Bayfront Park during the Miami Downtown Jazz Festival. Almost 30 bands with over 200 local, national and international musicians will perform. Many performances are free and tickets to the Saturday night performance start at $20 per person.

Miami International Jazz Festival: April 26 - 28

Groove to the smooth sounds of live jazz at the Miami International Jazz Festival, presented by The City of Miami and the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs. Ticket prices vary.

SoFlo Cake & Candy Expo: April 27 - 29

If you have a sweet tooth, then the SoFlo Cake & Candy Expo is for you. Join industry professionals and hobby bakers at this conference at the Miami Airport Convention Center. Tickets start at $24.
