Super Bowl Events If You Don't Have A Ticket To The Big Game

  • Share

The Super Bowl is set to go down in Miami's backyard on February 2, 2020, marking a record 11 times the Magic City has hosted NFL's biggest game of the year. The season's top two teams will battle for gridiron glory at Hard Rock Stadium, drawing massive crowds of football fans, celebrities, music stars, and industry bigwigs to the area.

Super Bowl LIV is undoubtedly one of the hottest tickets in town, but if you weren't able to score a seat, don't throw in the towel — there are plenty of Super Bowl-centric events around town you won't want to miss. Here's a roundup of the best things to do for the Super Bowl even if you couldn't snag a ticket to the big game.

Super Bowl LIVE Presented by Verizon

Super Bowl LIVE presented by Verizon will run from January 25 to February 1, 2020 at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami. This free fan festival will feature evening concerts at the Amphitheater, a Huddle Down Community Stage, Road to the 11th Super Bowl activation, Tailgate Town featuring a Culinary stage, an Environmental Village, live water shows, evening parades, fireworks and much more.

This will be the first time that visitors and the community-at-large will have the opportunity to celebrate all things Super Bowl at a free-to-the-public event.

Headlining the free event on February 1 with Domino Saints, will be the world renowned, multi-platinum selling band Fitz and the Tantrums. After “HandClap” — the breakout hit song of Fitz and the Tantrums’ career — became something of an unofficial theme song for the NFL, the band was invited to participate in FOX’s Super Bowl preshow, along with previous memorable performances at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Audiences will also be able to enjoy songs from premier artists in a variety of music genres.

Super Fan Fest

Wynwood — boasting outstanding dining, hip bars, and a thriving street-art scene — is one of Miami's top destinations, so it makes sense the buzzing neighborhood would host Super Fan Fest 2020. At the Wynwood Marketplace, Thursday, January 30, through Sunday, February 2, the fest will welcome football fans to participate in a variety of Super Bowl-themed experiences as well as other fun diversions.

Among them, you can see how you'd measure up on the field with a variety of football challenges and interactive experiences, including a 40-yard dash that pits you against virtual racers. If kicking back with a cold beer is more your style, head to one of the event's bars or beer gardens; then grab a bite from one of the many Miami food trucks onsite. If you're a fan of not only the gridiron but also live music, check out your favorite acts as they perform on the AT&T Elevate Main Stage throughout the event. Plus, don't miss out on all the photo ops to keep your Instagram looking fresh.

Best of all, admission is free! But be sure to reserve your complimentary tickets for Super Fan Fest soon, because you can bet it will fill up fast.

Super Saturday Night

Few events can match the Super Bowl in terms of sheer energy, but Super Saturday Night might be one of them. That's because the featured performer is the Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer-songwriter Lady Gaga. The spectacle is set for Saturday, February 1, at Island Gardens, an exclusive waterfront venue best known for its proximity to some of the world’s most balling superyachts. Doors will open at 8:30 p.m., welcoming Gaga's fans — AKA “Little Monsters” — and Miami music lovers alike to start the party well before Super Bowl kickoff.

This 21-and-older event has already made tickets available for purchase online, so don’t waste any time snagging your spot now.

In addition to offering the Skydeck soiree, the Miami LIVexperience will also present a record-breaking game-day watch party at a mystery location to be announced later.

Gronk Beach

Five-time Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski is retired from the NFL, but that doesn’t mean he’ll miss out on the big-game action. You won’t see Gronk on the field, but you can see him hosting his first Super Bowl party on the sands of Miami Beach. And who better to throw a bash worthy of the pre-game than the three-time Super Bowl champ himself?

Headlining performers set to take the stage include Diplo, Rick Ross, Flo Rida, 3LAU, and Kaskade, and the luau-themed event will also feature hula dancers and fire twirlers. As you’d expect for any event with the party god's name on it, tickets for Gronk Beach are selling out at a record pace, so get yours now.

The 2020 Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest

For Super Bowl LIV, it’s not just pro athletes who are taking their talents to Miami; a diverse variety of musical artists will perform in town as well. The 2020 Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest is a three-day extravaganza of performances by the likes of Guns N’ Roses, DJ Khaled, Maroon 5, and DaBaby at American Airlines Arena.

Tickets are available for each night of the event, or go big and treat yourself to a full weekend of chart-topping music performed live onstage.

Vewtopia Music Festival

Music fests and the Super Bowl go together like Dan Marino and touchdowns. Vewtopia Music Festival is set to take over Marlins Park Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1. The inaugural event so far has announced only one performer, but this singular name has been enough to drum up plenty of buzz. Unfiltered rap goddess, Cardi B, is slated to perform at the fest, and other artists will be announced soon.

Tickets include both days of the festival and are available for purchase online.
