From hearty steak dinners to exotic auto racing and an afternoon at the museum, here’s your guide to Father’s Day in Miami

There are plenty of ways to celebrate dear old Dad in Miami. To really surprise him on Father’s Day, plan a fun-filled itinerary in Miami that he’s sure to love on a day designed just for him—June 17, 2018. Here is some inspiration on how to celebrate Father’s Day in Miami.

Treat Dad to a Steak Dinner

Miami has plenty of steakhouses fit for a king—or in this case, Dad. Head to Red, the Steakhouse, in trendy SoFi, for Chef Peter Vauthy’s signature steaks with nearly 20 sauces and toppings: from classic béarnaise and peppercorn sauces, to King crab, seared foie gras and a black truffle demi-glace.

The award-winning StripSteak by Michael Mina at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, is a contemporary steakhouse concept with a la carte cuts of steak prepared in the hotel’s onsite aging room and butcher shop.

For something on the mainland in Downtown Miami, there’s nowhere better than Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. The Miami outpost of Wolfgang Zweiner’s world-renowned restaurants serves juicy steaks for two that are dry-aged onsite for 28 days.

Check out Cars & Cigars at Barnacle Historic State Park

The Barnacle Society is hosting their annual Cars and Cigars festivities featuring classic cars on display, hand-rolled cigars, a biergarten, kids’ crafts, live music and more at The Barnacle Historic State Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can pack a picnic or purchase lunch onsite to enjoy with your family overlooking beautiful Biscayne Bay.

Take Dad to the Racetrack

Speed, speed and more speed. What Dad wouldn’t love that? This Father’s Day, take Dad to Homestead Miami Speedway and give him a shot behind the wheel. Miami Exotic Auto Racing will be onsite with some of the world’s most exotic cars, like a Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari GT or an Audi R8. Dad can get one-on-one instruction from a professional racecar driver while you watch from the sidelines.

See Million Dollar Quartet at Actor's Playhouse

What Dad doesn’t love the music of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins? Treat Dad to a Sunday matinee of the Actor’s Playhouse production of Million Dollar Quartet at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables. The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical is inspired by the legendary real life recording session at Sun Records in 1956 with these four rock ‘n roll icons—the only time they were recorded together in history. It’s a nostalgic good time for anyone who loves the music from that era. Performances run through June 24.

Catch the Donald Judd exhibit at ICA, Miami

If dad is into art, take advantage of Father’s Day to checkout ICA, Miami’s new cutting edge digs in the Design District. This museum devoted to contemporary art is always free, making it a great way to soak up art, culture and their new exhibitions on a regular basis. Now through July 15, they’re exhibiting 14 rarely seen paintings by Donald Judd, the famed conceptual artist with a studio in Marfa, Texas. These large format, monochromatic paintings created from 1959 to 1961 mark Judd’s exploration of color, space and the limitations of flat plane.

Father’s Day buffet & gaming at Miccosukee

Head out to Miccosukee Resort & Gaming on Father’s Day for a sinful buffet of crave-worthy comfort food designed with Dad in mind: beer and cheese soup, pineapple-rum ham, baby back ribs, steak and BBQ pulled pork mac ‘n cheese. When your family’s sufficiently sated, hit the casino floor where Dad has the chance to win up to $500 in free play and $5,000 cash with their special Father’s Day Car Flip game.

Take Dad to an awesome brunch

Nothing lives up to true indulgence like a fantastic Sunday brunch. This Father’s Day, treat Dad to EDGE Steak & Bar’s weekly Sunday Brunch, which has unlimited a la carte stations of made-to-order BBQ, fresh seafood, whole roasted Caja China pork, bottomless mimosas, and table after table of desserts. It runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday.

The Biltmore also has an iconic Sunday brunch in the courtyard with a lavish buffet that has everything from caviar, smoked salmon, shellfish and a carving station, to made-to-order omelets, pastas, sushi and more. For a sweet ending to a wonderful family celebration, brunch at The Biltmore has bottomless champagne and Bellinis, live entertainment, and an entire wall of desserts.

Pamper pops on his special day

Who says Dad doesn’t enjoy a little pampering too? June is Men’s Health Month and area spas are celebrating with special therapies tailored to men. At The Spa at Miami Beach EDITION, Dads will enjoy a complimentary beer to go with their massage or facial. Afterwards, the whole family can meet up for an unlimited brunch table at Market featuring dishes from the raw bar, charcuterie, hot plates and pastry counter. At mySpa at the InterContinental Miami, they’re offering specials on gentlemen’s facials, grooming and massages.

Spend the Afternoon at Crandon Park

There are a lot of ways to celebrate Father's Day under the Miami sun. Get off the beaten path and spend the day at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne where you can rent kayaks, canoes and kite boards, go on eco adventure tours, or simply hangout at the beach and enjoy quality family time together.
