Faena District is a place where the beauty of the beach, arts and culture collide.

Miami’s beaches are more than just picturesque spots to bask in the sun and splash in the turquoise ocean. The Mid-Beach area, located between South Beach and North Beach, is now a thriving neighborhood brimming with arts and culture — and the cornerstone of the historic ‘hood is the ever-evolving Faena District.

Faena Miami not only includes the hotel, but the Faena District which runs from 32nd to 36th streets in the area of busy Collins Avenue (only a ten-minute walk from the action of South Beach). It is the brainchild of Argentine developer and hotelier, Alan Faena, who imagined this area as the cultural center of Miami Beach. The District’s centerpiece, of course, is the decadent 169-room Faena Hotel Miami Beach, which oozes glamour and fantasy throughout; the hotel also embraces the arts with many talked-about pieces sprinkled around the property like “Gone But Not Forgotten” by Damien Hirst, an enormous 24-karat-gold mammoth that rests in a house of glass in front of the beach. Additionally, the hotel caters to theater buffs with the Faena Theater, a grand venue showcasing original shows like a seductive cabaret along with high-profile concerts.

The Faena District also consists of Faena House, ultra-luxe oceanfront residences located next to the Faena Hotel; Casa Faena, a 50-room hotel that boasts the opulence of Faena Hotel, but in a smaller setting that’s designed to look and feel like a home; and Faena Forum, an architecturally stunning event space that features 300 uniquely shaped windows, two grand exhibit halls, five meeting rooms and a rose-marble amphitheater with built-in seating and unbelievable acoustics — an unforgettable setting for artistic performances and affairs like weddings and corporate events.

Opening later in 2018, Faena Bazaar will be a groundbreaking retail experience that merges culture, entertainment and community. Here, guests will discover a mix of internationally coveted brands and emerging talents from the world of fashion, decor, food and beverage.

Nearby, you’ll discover other see-and-be-seen hotels and celebrated restaurants. Foodies should make a reservation at Matador Room (located inside the Miami Beach EDITION Resort), by award-winning chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten to indulge in Latin American-Caribbean fare and sip cocktails from fun copper cups; and then head to BASEMENT which features a nightclub, bowling alley and something we don’t often see in Miami — an ice-skating rink!

Locals-in-the-know flock to neighboring award-winning bar, Broken Shaker located at the Freehand Miami (it’s also one of Miami Beach’s classic 1930s Art Deco buildings). Here, you can imbibe in handcrafted cocktails made from herbs, spices, fresh-pressed produce and exotic ingredients while enjoying a backyard-inspired oasis where the vibe is always chill and relaxing. Whenever you’re ready, you can head back to the Faena District for a day, or night, rooted in art and culture.
