A destination for world leaders and celebrities since opening in 1926, The Biltmore Hotel Miami – Coral Gables recently completed a spectacular $40 million, 10-year renovation, putting new luster and sparkle into the venerated historic landmark. Overseen by D'Shakil Designs and Studio 5 Design + Architecture, the redesign of The Biltmore's rooms and corridors delivers a richly modern feel while retaining the property's Old World glamour and quiet charm. With the contemporary introduction of royal hues, luxurious new materials and elegant furnishings, the new spaces harmonize seamlessly with a beautifully refurbished main lobby to thrilling effect. Complementing the careful refresh of the hotel's interior, The Biltmore also invested $3 million to restore its legendary 18-hole, par-71 golf course, returning the 1925 Donald Ross-designed layout to its original grandeur. The landmark swimming pool (one of the largest hotel pools in the Continental U.S.) also underwent considerable refurbishment.
