GMCVB Expands the MIAMI SHINES Tourism Recovery Campaign with Its Work & Learn Remotely Program

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) Continues to Expand the MIAMI SHINES Tourism Recovery Campaign with Its Work & Learn Remotely Program

 

Miami Shines adds new program showcasing destination-wide special offers from hotels, museums, attractions and spas throughout the Fall to support hotel & tourism industry openings across Greater Miami and the Beaches.

Miami, Florida (August 31, 2020) – The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) adds the Work and Learn Remotely program, offering bookings throughout the Fall, to the Miami Shines initiative, a comprehensive travel and tourism recovery program to promote Greater Miami and the Beaches. More than 30 hotels throughout the Greater Miami region are currently participating and offering specials that are geared towards working remotely and going to school remotely such as:

 

  • Pool side working stations
  • Zoom lighting locations within the hotel
  • Power lunch meals
  • Hair/makeup options for virtual meetings
  • Spa treatments between meetings
  •  “After school” day camp services provided by the hotel
  • Lunch/snacks/meals for kids
  • Onsite or access to Private tutor
  • Free WIFI

“We’re thrilled to be adding The Work & Learn Remotely package as Miami continues to encourage traveling responsibly during the road to recovery,” said William D. The Miami Shines program consists of a strong lineup of promotional incentives across restaurants, hotels, museums, spas and attractions. The GMCVB rolled out the Miami Shines platform to coincide with the opening of hotels and public beaches countywide to drive demand and stimulate business for the hard-hit tourism industry. Under the Miami Shines platform, the GMCVB is has launched the beloved Miami Spice Restaurant program two months early, offering visitors and locals alike the opportunity to enjoy their favorite restaurants with three-course meals priced at $25 for lunch/brunch and $39 for dinner, now through September 30. Miami Shines marketing materials include a video campaign produced in English, Spanish and Creole targeting local and regional customers, as well as visitors and meeting planners. The program includes a Miami local-pride initiative and offers residents a multilingual Miami Shines Toolkit encouraging locals to share their #MiamiShines moments on social media.
