Industry Leaders and over 3,500 Companies Expected to Attend 4-Day Bitcoin 2022 Event from April 6-9

Miami, FL (August 10, 2021) – Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) is set to welcome thousands of visitors and fintech industry leaders for the largest Bitcoin event in the history of cryptocurrency, Bitcoin 2022, from April 6-9, 2022. Bitcoin 2022 will bring together company founders, c-suite executives, bitcoin holders, and industry experts to fulfill their mission of mass bitcoin adoption and hyperbitcoinization. The 2021 event, held at Mana Wynwood, was a resounding success, drawing over 12k people and generating an estimated $3.3 million in local economic impact. This led organizers to search for a larger venue that can accommodate what is expected to be an even larger attendance next year, perhaps as many as 30k and including a huge international draw.

“The Bitcoin 2022 Conference adds to a great portfolio of signature events taking place in Miami Beach,” said William D. Talbert, III, CDME, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB). “Their commitment to moving the event to the Miami Beach Convention Center is proof positive that the significant investments made to the convention center have been worthwhile and the economic impact of these events to our community cannot be overstated.”

The 4-day Bitcoin 2022 Conference will include an Industry Day for speaker panels and conferences, as well as a Sound Money Festival on the last day with live performances, entertainment, and other giveaways for attendees. Attendees will have in-person access to thousands of global decision makers, increase their brand’s visibility, get important face time with clients and partners, and celebrate one of the world’s fastest-growing technologies.

“Bitcoin 2021 was extremely successful, bringing over 12,000 industry leaders and experts to Miami, where they spent an entire week celebrating the bitcoin industry and enjoying all of the amazing food, art, and entertainment South Florida has to offer,” said David Bailey, CEO of BTC Inc., organizer of Bitcoin 2022 Conference. “The Miami Beach Convention Center is the perfect place to host next year’s Bitcoin Conference. It will be bigger and better than ever, and we expect Bitcoin 2022 to be our most successful event yet.”

“The MBCC team and our City Center Campus are absolutely thrilled and excited to host the Bitcoin 2021 Conference. We look forward to being the center of gravity for this international event and building memorable experiences for its guests,” said Freddie Peterson, Spectra’s General Manager of the MBCC.

Last year, for Bitcoin 2021, keynote speakers included CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, and professional skateboarder Tony Hawk. The relocation of the Bitcoin 2021 Conference from Los Angeles to Miami builds on the news of the growing number of tech and financial companies moving to the area. It also adds to the major events being hosted in Miami in the coming months and year, including Art Basel Miami Beach and the Miami International Boat Show.

About the BTC Media/Bitcoin Conference 2022:

BTC Media, which owns Bitcoin Magazine and the Bitcoin Conference series, is the oldest and most respected media company in the Bitcoin space. The first installment of the Bitcoin conference, Bitcoin 2019 was created as a way to gather the industry and move the conversation past a brutal scaling debate that splintered the ecosystem. That conference proved the concept that there needed to be an industry event that could point a spotlight on Bitcoin and allow the industry to grow together. Bitcoin 2021 galvanized that concept by bringing more than 12,000 attendees to Miami, Florida in what could be considered a cultural moment for the entire ecosystem. With an expected attendance of 30,000, Bitcoin 2022 will grow the conference series into a mainstream fixture as the entire world turns its gaze on Bitcoin as it takes on a pivotal role in society.
