Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College (MOAD MDC)

Housed in the historic Freedom Tower, Miami Dade College’s Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) is home to a diverse collection of works that include pioneering cultural, historical and educational exhibits across a wide range of artistic mediums as well as permanent exhibits like MDC’s contemporary art collection and the Freedom Tower photo archives. Art lovers drawn to culturally-relevant, contemporary works can look forward to thought-provoking exhibitions and presentations hosted throughout the year. For fans of contemporary art, MOAD’s permanent collection showcases over 1,900 notable Pop, Minimalist and Contemporary Latin American works that include pieces by Frank Stella, Donald Judd and Ana Mendieta. MOAD also features ongoing historical exhibits that include The Cuban Exile Experience & Cultural Legacy Gallery, a historical archive of photos documenting the struggles and accomplishments of the Cuban exile community, and the Kislak Center, a gallery showcasing books, maps, Pre-Columbian artifacts and other historical ephemera that provide insight into the history of the early Americas.

MOAD is open 1:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and 1:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday.
