Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center
Nestled within Crandon Park on Key Biscayne, Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center is a learning facility where nature enthusiasts of all ages can discover and learn about the native coastal ecosystem. Explore the surrounding coastal hammocks and waters on naturalist-led field trips that include hiking through surrounding hammocks, combing through a fossil reef tidal pool during low-tide and observing marine life in the coastal seagrass habitat. Inside the facility, an interpretative exhibit area features saltwater aquariums, a live small-scale mangrove habitat and an assortment of interactive stations featuring preserved flora and fauna as well as Tequesta Indian artifacts. Visitors can also pick up a souvenir at the gift shop or browse the art gallery.
