OpenTable makes reserving your spot and securing your table easy, just log on and see what times and dates are available. Be sure to check each individual restaurant's weekly Miami Spice offerings. Some offer dinner only, while others only offer Miami Spice menus on certain days of the week.

Here are a few hotspots worth trying on Miami's mainland.

Komodo – Brickell

A destination for contemporary Southeast Asian cuisine by David Grutman, the man who keeps LIV and Story nightclubs packed with Hollywood's A-listers, Komodo is one of Brickell's hottest dining spots. Menu highlights include Peking duck, lobster dynamite rolls with crispy quinoa and the namesake Komodo roll with wild mushrooms, white soy, tempura enoki and truffle oil. During Miami Spice, try the Wagyu beef dumplings and the tuna and toro roll with tuna tataki, spicy tuna toro, avocado, sesame and eel sauce. End the evening with the Komodo baked Alaska made of key lime yuzu ice cream, orange chiffon cake and graham crackers.

Edge, Steak & Bar – Downtown

Located at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Miami, Edge, Steak & Bar features a contemporary American menu from acclaimed executive chef Aaron Brooks and highlights seasonal ingredients complemented by spices and herbs from the restaurant's garden. Get your taste buds rolling and start out with the coconut cauliflower soup with apple and almond salsa and dusted with vadouvan spice. Nosh on tomato and ricotta ravioli accompanied by summer squash, basil pesto and roasted pine nuts. Make it a sweet ending with white peach semifreddo compressed stone fruit salad topped with hazelnut oat crumble.

Zuma – Downtown

A perennial hotspot since opening its doors, Zuma is a favorite restaurant for celebrities like Beyoncé and David Beckham. This stylish Japanese stunner located inside the EPIC Hotel is a London transplant serving the freshest and most crave-worthy sushi in town. It's prime for power lunches, sexy drinks at the bar or romantic dinners overlooking the Miami River. It's also popular for its weekend champagne brunch, which features a lavish buffet, made-to-order entrees and a dessert spread fit for royalty. Begin with salmon tuna tartar, followed by truffle rice donburi with mushrooms, quail egg and Japanese vegetables. Don't leave without ordering the chocolate caramel cremeux.

Alter – Wynwood

After a celebrated run as chef de cuisine at J&G Grill at the St. Regis Bal Harbour, Bradley Kilgore opened Alter in a small, industrial space in Wynwood. Highlights range from the local fish tartare to summer squash with lemon curd, tarragon, citron vinaigrette, soft feta and puffed wild rice. Heartier dishes include a slow braised brisket with parsley cream corn and miso swordfish with bacon avocado dashi and shrimp gyoza.

Peacock Garden Bistro – Coconut Grove

Named after the Peacock family, Peacock Garden Bistro pays homage to one of Miami’s founding families. The restaurant and lush garden is located in the same place in Coconut Grove where the Peacock family planted their own tropical garden 130 years ago. Dine al fresco and start with short rib ravioli with marsala, onion and shiitake mushroom sauce. Then opt for jumbo seared scallops with pine nut and mushroom hummus, corn and basil pesto salad. A crowd favorite, end the meal with a decadent dark chocolate brownie topped with walnuts and vanilla ice cream.

Christy’s Restaurant – Coral Gables

One of the most beloved restaurants in Coral Gables, Christy’s has been serving mouthwatering steaks and fresh Florida seafood for more than 35 years. Perfect for a date night, start the evening with Christy’s famous Caesar salad, a mix of romaine hearts, house-made rustic croutons and fresh grated parmesan. Then opt for an eight-ounce filet mignon with whipped truffle mashed potatoes, roasted heirloom carrots and a shiitake mushroom demi-glace. Cure your sweet tooth with a Florida staple: key lime pie backed in a toasted almond graham cracker crust and served with whipped cream.

You'll love the ocean views, coastal-inspired dining room, and menu featuring locally-sourced Florida ingredients like cheese from Winter Park, beef from Ocoee and snapper from Key West. Start out with the chef's daily selection of east coast oysters. Try the Josper roasted flank steak with Florida citrus and herb marinated, roasted and truffled marbled potatoes, as well as blistered tomato cluster.
